FEC Fines Clinton Campaign, DNC for Funding Steele Dossier

The Federal Election Commission has fined Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) for lying about funding a discredited dossier, which attempted to smear then-candidate Donald Trump, the Washington Examiner reported.

I'm sure they learned their lesson and will never do anything like that again.
The FEC is a joke.
We need much stronger and more immediate punishment of bad behavior of campaigns. I don't know how to get there, people smarter than me need to work on it.
Someone is going to mysteriously disappear or have a fatal fluke accident.

Well, you could stop tacitly supporting this corrupt system.

I would like to see less corruption, make it harder to buy influence in the system.

It's always going to cost money to run a campaign and get people's attention.

There are many ways we could reduce the opportunity for corruption that comes with raising that money.

But until we do, I will support the leaders that get the most votes under our current system.  I might vote for the other guy next time, but trying to argue that the electoral college should have gone a different way, or that the guy who got the second most votes actually should have won a state, well, it won't be long before there are no elections at all, if you go down that road.
