last time we played browns in clevland we lost. we have a loseing record againest texans in houston. settle won a super bowl, tennse always gives jags trouble, colts are a tough team to bet. steelers always considered a playoff team. Ravans beat us in jacksonville last year. cardnials got to super bowl only to lose to steelers. Jets are always a tough team for jags when we play in New york. the nfl wants Jags to lose so they can move them to london. te few wins we have had last couple years one has come in london. we end the season on a 2 game road trip. that is the toughesgt in nfl. as usal the pats always get the easy one.

Wolfie, I'm sorry but you're wrong. This is one of the easiest schedules in the league. You're mentioning teams like Cleveland, Houston, Tennessee, Indy, and Baltimore as tough teams? Come on man. This schedule is about as good as it gets.
And the Arizona - Pittsburgh Super Bowl was almost 10 years ago...

Please construct your ideal schedule given the fact that we play our division rivals twice a year.
I think you'd struggle to build a more favorable schedule that what we have this year.

opps my mistake about browns game. we did beat them last time we played them, but we lost to tennse which had just lost to the browns that season.

I agree but not for the same reasons you do. Until we have a real qb. Our losing will continue.

Quote:Actually the Jags are tied with the Titans for the second most easiest schedule. Colts have easiest.that's what I saw

You're bringing up past accomplishments though under older regimes and different teams completely. That doesn't hold any water this year Wolfie. Last time we played Cleveland was in 2014 with a rookie in Bortles making his 7th or 8th career start. That was also a Cleveland squad that finished 7 - 9 in a division where three teams all finished with double digit wins and had play-off implications.
The tinhorns don't even have a QB right now and they barely beat us last year in both games with a vaunted defense. The tacks got spanked last time they played us. We have the momentum now. The clots are not a tough team to beat. We beat them in London last year and they barely beat us in the finale. That team hasn't been scary since Manning was let go.
The Steelers are probably the first true challenge you've listed above. The Ravens are beatable. The Cardinals are on the downward spiral now. They've lost their window of winning chances with Palmer falling apart.
The Jets are just as bad as the Browns right now. And the idea that the NFL is setting this team up to lose is laughable so they can ship us to London. This team hasn't had a winning record since 2007. It's been a decade of nothing but losing. And they've survived a change in ownership, bust after bust, arguably the worst head coach in modern NFL history with Bradley and they've proven to be bulletproof since this downward trend began when everyone kept linking us to L.A. Here it is the Chargers and Rams have since fled for L.A and the Raiders are abandoning ship in Oakland for Las Vegas.
Yet.... lil' ole Jacksonville's fanbase just seems to keep us afloat and chuggin' along. When, in reality, they don't deserve the support they do have.
We'll be fine Wolfman...

Relax y'all, as my brother said.......
I'd rather have a tough schedule and win against good teams than a soft schedule and lose because we always play down to them ( or in the playoffs )

Pretty easy schedule.
-The AFC south is probably the weakest division in the NFL. We get to play each team twice.
-Ravens, Jets,Rams,Browns,Bengals, and 49ers are winnable games as well.
-The toughest game on the schedule for the jags is against Phillip Rivers. The guy has our number.

Quote:What makes this schedule more difficult than any one else's?
I never understood the obsession with strength of schedules. It's only relative on a weekly basis. We play the Jets, Browns and Rams who were garbage teams in 2016 - If they come out undefeated - it changes the "difficulty" - Good teams are good teams no matter who they face. My point is easily proven by our cupcake schedule last season. This difficulty is only so relevant - How we could not muster up enough wins to take the division is downright embarrassing

I thought the opposite, I thought maybe the NFL was trying to set us up to finally do something. Given it is just how the schedules work. We play the matching team in other divisions and we play the poor AFC South obviously. But our bye week is solid, we have the jets in the right place. The plus to no primetime games is no short weeks.

If we play like we did against the Titans in the last game, and the first half of the Colts game, we'll do well this year.
04-24-2017, 04:42 PM
It's no fair that we have to play the Texans 2x each season while they get to play the Jags 2x each season. Definitely unbalanced W-L scheduling by the NFL.

The only team with an easier schedule than us is the Colts based on win percentage. Opponents are pre-determined and rotate every year. Sorry to say this but you're way overboard.

5 of our first 7 games are away from jacksonville. then again 2 of our wins came away from home last year. 1 at london, and one at chicago.
we open up @ texans, play tittians in jville before going on road to london, new york, pitsburgh, then come home to play rams before going back on the road. 5 out of our first 7 games are away from jacksonville. I'm just saying.
