Renewable energy dependence could lead to rolling blackouts in Michigan this summer

Michigan could experience rolling blackouts this summer as renewable energy sources struggle to keep up with demand

Electrical-grid operators are warning Michigan residents that blackouts could be needed during the hot summer months, with a hurried changeover to renewable energy sources at the forefront of the issue.

The concerns in the article are likely exaggerated. Yes coal is being shut down. Yes natural gas turbines are being idled. However the huge benefit of gas turbines is they can be spun up pretty quickly if needed.
Also, Michigan's grid is well connected and can buy power from all over the east coast and Canada.
Michigan should continue to invest in renewable energy and also nuclear.
