Wasn't it already factually determined that the Russians didn't interfere with the 2016 or 2020 elections on behalf of the Republicans? Why would they care now if they didn't then?

We know the Russians openly interfered in 2016 and 2020. Their English language kremlin controlled RT channel was wall to wall with positive coverage for Trump both times.
We know from the Mueller report that the Russians were responsible for most of the stuff wikileaks published on Hillary in 2016.
Roger Stone was convicted by federal prosecutors appointed by Trump for witness tampering, obstruction of justice, and lying to investigators over these matters.
It's probable that Stone actually coordinated with the Russians at Trump's direction but it was never proven.
It certainly wasn't "factually determined that they didnt."
The only good news is no one has been able to point to anything Trump did in office and been able to conclusively say "he did this for Russia." We know Russia wanted Trump to win but we can't really see how Russia got any direct benefit from him winning.
