Shad is doing great things for downtown Jacksonville.

I think it's a shame more folks aren't seeing it this way.

I mean, he's a businessman and he's in it for #1 as well, but his vision would GREATLY benefit a long wasted resource our city has neglected for way too long. 
So much potential stretching  westward along the riverfront from the base of the Hart bridge.

The giant Jaguars head logo on the side of the building looks so cool at night. Went to the jumbo shrimp game and when you are behind home plate so can see a giant illuminated Jaguars head floating behind the outfield.

While the old shipyards area has certainly been wasted in the last 30+ years, the real waste IMO is along Talleyrand Ave. Most of the industry along Tallyrand north to 21st street could be moved up river to Blount Island. However, this wont happen until riverfront property becomes so in demand that the economies of development take it in that direction. That may not occur for another 50 to 100 years.

Maybe you're right, but probably you're wrong.  It would depend on the amount and type of soil contamination that is present.  The shipyards and lot J have a lot.  I would assume Tallyrand is similar.
