I’m Gen X, born on the heels of the civil rights movement. I was taught that everyone was created equally and we did not participate in segregation in my communities. Yet, the same party that treated blacks so horribly ( and still do) is practicing segregation again. These horrible people just can’t help themselves. Divide, divide, divide.
Reading this story brings hate too my heart. But for whom? The school? The system? Individual people?
It’s hateful and they know it is.

Nice to recognise Black identifying students.

Of course all lefties love this. It plays right into their goal of divide and conquer.

If the white student body did the same thing would you be ok with it?
When I was in college, there were separate tutoring and study halls for nonwhite students. They also self-organized some clubs that were just for people of their background. Either of these groups may have held their own graduation party, but I don't remember hearing about it. None of this is a big deal.

You are SO FULL OF IT. If it were white kids holding a WHITE ONLY graduation, it would be NATIONAL wall to wall news on how racist it was.
Pure speculation on my part but I would be willing to bet that a large majority of those participating in segregated activities are liberal arts students who will be working for little money and crying about student loan forgiveness.
The students in serious studies who will be substantive contributors to society have no desire to engage in such nonsense.

So, if you're white and say chile instead of child, it's cultural appropriation.
But if you're white, and identify as black to attend a graduation.....then it's chill.

Likewise, a heterosexual only event.

You have a serious irony deficiency.

I’m sitting here trying to understand this and for the life of me I don’t see how this make sense or is even relevant to this conversation.
