Wealthiest Man In Illinois Moves His Business From Chicago To Miami Amid Feud With Democratic Leadership

Ken Griffin of Citadel, a multibillion-dollar hedge fund, announced that he would move his company from Chicago, Illinois, to Miami, Florida.

Hedge funds are an important part of the economy, but it's not as if the managers hire huge numbers of workers at their location. Not a big deal where the guy chooses to live.

I don't know, Mike.  Apparently he has 1000 employees in Chicago.  If we start with him, he is worth $28 billion.  I assume if we work our way down the chain of command there could be other people that are worth 1 billion or 100 million, or quite a few million.  

This move could mean quite a few very rich people moving to Miami with all of their buying power.  

I think it could be more significant than you think.

No Mike it is a huge deal.  People are fleeing liberal states and liberal doctrine.  Wealth and means are an indicator as this guy could afford to stay there but chose to not to.

Yeah I was wrong.  Citadel is a lot more than just a guy with a hedge fund.  They offer many other services to many people.
