Sure, and yesterday you posted about a 100 year old man who said this country is not the same as the one he fought for. It's completely changed, and he doesn't like it.

We don't know that. He wasn't specific about what he thought the bad changes were. He served in a racially segregated army. For all the clues he left (none) he may have been lamenting racial integration. Or rock music. Or any number of other things.
