At least Cisco had some extra time to recover from that injury he suffered in college. I look forward to seeing him start this year.

Yeah, and then giving Minshew away for a ham sandwich.  If you are going to give him valuable reps in the preseason, at least get something for him in trade.  We should have gotten a third or a fourth-round pick for Gardner.  Meyer gave him away for a 6th.  Pathetic.

I agree, and if that was the original intention of drafting Little and Cisco and giving them a year to rehab, I'm totally fine with that.  That said, Urb totally lost me last year when he a reporter asked him why Cisco isn't being utilized in the games.  Urb responded that he is progressing and believes Cisco got more reps in this game than he did in the prior game.  As it turned out, Cisco did not get into the game in which Urb thought he go more reps ..... totally clueless.

So you are saying it's not a train this time?
Nope, I hear no train horn and it's day light. A welcomed sight to see.

I'd have to say the train will simply be with the defensive growing pains.  No way, you can replace most of your defense with a new DC and so much youth and not have communication issues, players lining up wrong and taking bad angles (underestimating the speed of the offensive players).   I'm willing to live with that train wreck if it simply means the future will be better.
