The kicker battle in camp has not gone well with both candidates faltering.

New blood enters the ring.

The Kicker position is going to be a huge concern all year if they can't figure it out. It makes a huge difference with a young offense still trying to navigate their way into gelling completely. Just look at how good the Bengals were last year and then go back and look at how many times McPherson walked out onto the field to kick them out of a jam. Especially in the post season.

I am really worried we're going to see some close contests this year with this team and the difference between three to four wins or three to four losses is going to fall back squarely on missing a PAT here and there or a clutch FG late. [BLEEP] sucks man. Need an automatic player there again like we had with Hollis and Scobee over the years.

This team seems to have a lot of luck in finding good players at RB, Center & Punter historically (minus a season or two due to injuries) but they've been really bad for what feels like the last six years with the Kickers.
Need to bring Wright back. Just need some else to kick off
I get the sense that our starting kicker this season is not on the roster, and will be a 53 man roster camp cut from another team.
Placekicker is the position I'd have the least concern over this off-season. Of all the position groups, finding a satisfactory placekicker during or after the pre-season is not that difficult. There are bound to be at least a couple of respectable kickers who get cut following the pre-season. Currently, one free agent I'd be interested in is Michael Badgley. I'd bring him in to compete with the current group in training camp.
Cut during JAGUARS training camp as a kicker. Talk about a badge of shame.

Imagine shanking a warmup kick right into an unsuspecting former asst HC of the team who happened to be in attendance that day.

...and then getting your walking papers   oof

A story he can tell over beers with his fellow insurance salesmen.
Bring in Long Ding. I can’t remember if he could kick worth a [BLEEP] but he had the name for the position.
We should KICK the tires on Lambo.

Lol I see why you did there

I think he has a lawsuit pending against the organization so I doubt that’s really an option.

Welp...there goes the chance to say "Mevis and Butthead." when he misses a kick.

I wonder if coach buzzcut is the guy who cut him.

Mevis should consider being an carpenter. Damn near hitting Ashlyn would've been My Last Straw. Grrrrrrrrr.

NH3...
Cody Parkey is still out there.

So is Aldrick Rosas. Guy was 8/11 on FGs and 9/9 on XPs when he played for us in 2020.

I said at the time, I dunno why they dropped him without finding someone who could legit outperform him first. His weakness was kickoffs but the guy was reasonably competent kicking field goals and extra points.
