It’s part of the master plan, it worked in Europe. Dilute the native population with foreign invaders to reduce our influence in our own country.

I'm halfway through the article in The Atlantic about the Trump "no tolerance" or "family separation" policy. One of the early points it makes is that lower level officials first started proposing the policy under Obama, though at that time the policy never got close to the President's desk. Each time it was brought up, the officials would agree, "The law says we should do this, but reality says we shouldn't do this because we will never be able to track and care for all the kids. We would need a lot more money to pay for a lot more caregivers before trying this. Congress would have to appropriate the money first, and they won't, so..."

And they were right. We did lose track of a lot of the kids. We didn't have enough people and funds allocated to do it right.

But the MSM and social media really missed the first part of the story. They presented it less as law enforcement and more as something that was actually illegal. And both Republicans and Democrats in Congress are really missing what should come next. We went from not enforcing a law, to enforcing it in a way that creates worse problems, back to not enforcing it. But no one is questioning the law itself. We need a better law, instead. We need to understand the ambiguities and hitches in the law we have, and fix them.
