Murder suspect had guns taken with red flag law

In the debate about red flag laws, we’re told such measures will take guns from people who represent some kind of danger, either to themselves or others. It’s a wonderful thought as it allows folks to justify stripping people of a constitutionally protected right because it will make the world a better place.

Suppose you get a new roof, but the contractor isn't being careful. He failed to properly secure 1 or 2 shingles and those come off. You get a small leak in your new roof.
You tell your friends about the missing shingle and the leak.
One of the friends replies, "This is what I've been telling you! Roofs don't work! You got wet anyways! I told you all along!"
