The thing that strikes me is they are not intimidated by any situation. There is no second guessing, no waiting for the bottom to fall out, no scrambling to adjust plans, none of that.
The staff is prepared, clear, and decisive. Everyone on the team has bought in, and it is clicking. If we had a terribad roster we may not see the wins this early, but I don't think anyone expected the team to hit the ground running this quickly. It's something to behold.
I won't say swagger, but this team is
confident. They are playing smart football, avoiding costly mistakes, and forcing the opposing team into the pitfalls.

I mean I was being a bit sarcastic but I do love me some coach Doug.
Oh I knew the doug contract thing was a joke I was tlaking about you saying 2017 team had a legit chance of going undefeated if they had t law and a healthy a rob. That's just crazy talk.
EVERYONE SETTLE DOWN!
Its only been three games! I get that we all forgot what a winning team and coach looks like, but lets get at least a couple seasons of consistently being good?

So, what's the point? We're not allowed to enjoy and even get a bit giddy about back to back wins? Dominant wins even? When was the last time this team had back to back dominant wins? I want to say 2017 (too lazy to look it up), but that team, as good as it was, was wildly inconsistent thanks to the offense. No, we're allowed to enjoy it and even be silly about it if we want. We're not the ones that need to stay grounded and get back to focusing on playing another game next week.

Get that crap outta here. Fans are allowed to celebrate a great start to the season and get excited about it.
I'm so in love with Dougie I'm ready to put another baby in my wife just to name it doug

Here, JW. It's been over 20 years:

In case you're too lame to read, here's the highlight. I like the blurb right beneath it that was just tweeted a little while ago as well:
• The Jaguars have won back-to-back games by 20 points or more for the first time since 2000 when they beat Cleveland 48-0 and Arizona 44-10.
• According to
ESPN Stats and Info, the Jaguars are only the second team in the Super Bowl era to win consecutive games by 24 or more points as an underdog in both games.
Crap on that, Beavis.
I’m not ready to say overall this is a better roster then say 2017 or 2007 but it is already better at two keys places; the Hc and the QB.

I am on a slow roll too but I also will be giddy for this: we are competitive. We could lose Sunday and I’ll still be excited because this teams future is bright

This team is better at WR as well
The only thing the 2017 had over this current roster is two all pro CBs, a very good Calais, Lambo’s consistency, and a good Linder under center. Other than that this team is overall wayyy better.

We can celebrate, just don't go saying this team is better than the 2017 (or that this will be the best team we've had in a decade) based on three games (one of which we bungled). We were a single refball away from the owl in 2017, and regardless thought for sure we'd be contenders the following years to come. I guess if you want to set yourself up to be burned again though, go ahead.

I'm hyped too, but this is the Jags we are talking about. Cautious optimism.

Okay yeah probably lol. I think we'd win more than 10 games tho.

I got no problem with that either. I mean, this has to be fake news... They can't possibly be this good yet and will likely come back down to earth next week. Sure would be fun if they take that one too though, just as long as they don't have a let down to Houston. I would hate losing to them so much more here at home than losing in Philly.
Just enjoying what I can while I can until the other shoe drops, while quietly hoping it never drops.

Yeah, this feels way too good to stifle ourselves. . Don't know how long this kind of play will last, but I'm soakin it in and stoked as ever!!
This team and it's fanbase have been so miserable for so many years now.. We all deserve to feel excited. Telling everyone to settle down, yeah, it may feel like these peeps are going overboard with excitement, but they deserve it.. We all do.. Let go and enjoy the season, one game at a time..
I personally think this team can go at least .500
And with the misery everyone has been through, .500 is a major step up and each win deserves a party in itself for these fans..
Go Jags!!
I'm going to soak it in while I can. With the full knowledge that we could possibly get skunked in Philly this week. But if anyone in preseason had offered me 2-2 after the first 4 games, I'd have taken it.
Based on what I've seen so far this season, this appears to be one of the best rosters we've ever had. The weakness, though, based on what I saw in preseason, is the backups. They stunk last time we saw them. But the starters? Really good.
We have a good chance to keep this group together for at least a couple of more years because our QB is in the 2nd year of his rookie contract. We're at least a couple of years away from having to give him that huge cap-busting extension.
As far as the 2017 team vs this team. Let's not down grade the 2017 team. That was an excellent team that should have made it to the superbowl. I watched that game as most likely most of us here watched it. What and exciting AFC championship game viewed with many friends at the bar. More to the point, we got robbed with some questionable shenanigans from the refs and also many people think coach marrone didnt do the team any favors with his coaching. That team was special. It had a very powerful running game with a crazy good defense. I wont go player by player but trust that. Now this team in 2022 is looking tremendously nice so far, but there is a long way to go. Keep on grinding jags!

We may lose this weekend, but this team doesn't strike me as the type to get skunked by anyone.

It's hard for me to get out of that "hope for the best, expect the worst" mode that has built up in me over the last few years.
