So if we DON'T win, and we are 2-2, I'd like to make a modest proposal, and that is, that we keep our heads and not freak out. Here we are, after 2 straight years of being the worst team in the league, and now all of a sudden we're talking division title and playoff seeding. But before the season, most of us would have been happy at 7-10, with the arrow pointing up. And most of us would have been very happy at 2-2 to start the season.
If we lose to the Eagles, I am not going to be depressed about it, because in the big picture, this team is obviously going to get a lot better, surprisingly fast.

Same. They're top dog right now in the power rankings. No harm, no foul if they lose tomorrow. I think the expectations are still there for me regardless of tomorrow's outcome. They should win at least 7 - 9 wins. Should potentially be in the running in this division for the lead and should be in the hunt late this year for one of the play-off spots.

Agreed. But then we all know the posters that will keep their heads and those that.... well are lying in wait for the first chance to freak out. (They have been noticeably absent as of late)

If you knew how many games you were going to lose ahead of time and got to choose which games you’d lose, non-conference games would be the ones you’d choose because they matter least for tie-breakers at the end of the year.
That said, this win would be huge for confidence.
Convincing? Assuming our level of play (Really damn good right now) stays the same, I'd say 11-13 win season very likely. The thing is, this team is really young so I expect some inconsistency at some point. I think we play the Eagles hard here, idk how we pull out a win though. We'll see.
On a side note, this is the first game that has 2017 vibes. Impactful game, albeit an early one, but one that I can hardly wait to see. It's so nice when you have a good football team to cheer for.
I hope we come out and steal one on the road, put the NFL on notice!

This is the right attitude to take into this game. We've just begun a rebuilding process. Being a giant slayer is the fantasy we all want, but reality states this is likely a game we lose. As long as we lose in strong competitive fashion, I'll be happy. A win would make me even happier, but it's all about perspective.
For those comparing this season to 2017, that whole season had a fluky feel to it. How many of us were waiting for the bottom to fall out at any minute? And it would have if not for Calais Campbell carrying the locker room on his shoulders. In reality, we were one injury away from falling on our face. This season feels different. It has solid footing. Barring an injury to Lawrence, every other phase of the game seems as if it is playing to a plan and can absorb a loss. An injury may set it back a little, but it will keep producing solid results with adjustments.

Next weeks divisional match up is much more important even though everyone here expects us to win that one.
TLaw is key. He plays like he has the last 2 weeks, we’ll be in every game and win a bunch of them.

Not everyone. I expected us to beat the team we beat 7 years straight at home and the team we shut out 24-0 and some thought that was insane so I know there are a few that don't expect us to beat the team the has beat us the last 8 games straight.
The NFL changes week to week. The narrative never stays the same. Just because something looked great last week, doesn't mean it is going to look as good this week. If we go in to Philly and blow out the Eagles (#1 team on many people's "rankings") we will be heralded as a Super Bowl contender.

You think we go from #18 to a SB contender in week 4? The talent on this team, QB, and coach is why I have expected us to win. I guess people just didn't know the talent we had and didn't believe in Trev.

Yea we will. The media loves to blow things way out of proportion.

Chargers started 4-1 last year and missed the playoffs. Miami started 1-7 and went on the win their next 8, Raiders started 3-0 and were 1 play away from missing the playoffs.
With all that said, hopefully we beat Philly today. I don't really give a [BLEEP] what they say about us on TV
If we win we will be a SB contender if we lose we will be a team that got lucky the last 2 weeks and beat teams that were struck with injuries to some of their best players. That's how it will go
Guys, if the Jags blow out the Eagles in Philly, they will have commanding victories over 3 teams expected in the playoffs this year.
It wouldn't be unreasonable for the talking heads on the sports networks to start talking Super Bowl run for the Jags in the unlikely event it happens. So just go in without that expectation. The Eagles are supposed to kick our [BLEEP] today. Be glad when it doesn't happen, and take the 2-2 or 3-1, because everyone had us at 1-3 or even 0-4.
Our bandwagon will be overflooded.
I just really don't care for the Eagles or their fans.

Facts, I hate bandwagon fans but it is what it is. Hop on
Any given Sunday guys. That's how I'm rolling with it. If we win I'll be beyond ecstatic. If we lose but are competitive I won't be mad. If we get blown out, like we did to the clots and bolts, I'm going to be very disappointed.
Losing our [BLEEP] over a football game shouldn't happen. But it will, no doubt. Lol.

Exactly. I can't STAND when people mention winning before a game even starts. It's really dumb behavior.
