I was thinking this since week two but needed to see them today. I feel confident in declaring it now.

Doug Pederdon is coach of the year and the best offensive mind in the league right now. For all the lack of elite weapons the Jags can score on anyone.

That's something the 2017 team didn't have. The defense and run game carried that team. The offense really struggled at times.

This team isn't outclassed by any team in the league. They can beat up any QB. In most years we didn't have the LBs to contend with scrambling QBs. And didn't have the pass rush for Generals like Brady. This season every qb we play will have a dirty jersey.

It's still early and this is a more complete team!

Not since 1999 have we had a offense this competent.
Agree with everything said here, and this group is still learning to play together. If they stay healthy, the sky is the limit.
I wouldn't go that far. The opportunistic defense isn't there with this team. The secondary is a glaring weakness. The offense was executing at a Manning-esque caliber. In today's NFL, that can get it done when you possess the ball so long and get points consistently. We have the players to suffocate opposing offenses when they're forced to play from behind. I think this team is decent, which is leaps and bounds better than the last 4 years. I'm not seeing elite yet. I'm drinking some of the kool aid.
I'd say this. in 2017 we had a stellar pass rush, solid LBs and an insane secondary. 2022 I'd say it's more like, a very good pass rush, a+ LBers and a good enough secondary.
Will know more in the 2nd quarter of this season. In 2018 we were 2-0 and beat the Pats convincingly, then the wheels came off

But to the Jags’ credit, this is as good of a start as any
