Commanders' Dan Snyder hires bank in first step towards possible team sale
Bank of America oversaw the purchase of the Los Angeles Clippers to Steve Ballmer
Washington Commanders owner Dan Snyder has hired Bank of America to consider the possible sale of the NFL franchise, the organization announced Wednesday.
Snyder and his family control all shares of the team after minority partners were bought out in March 2021.
The most recent transaction of
an NFL happened in August when a group led by Walmart heir Rob Walton purchased the Denver Broncos for a record $4.6 billion.

Either he is trying to get ahead of the lawsuit info coming out or there must really be some pressure inside the NFL to force him to sell.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer..."BofA Securities has handled other sales of professional sports teams, including Steve Ballmer buying the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers in 2014"

They probably offered the lowest commission of all the candidates, along with having experience. Imagine getting 2% commission on that sale!
