The league is really bad with mediocre football this year. So hooray if we can be better than mediocre.

Sam Ehlinger's mom is gonna git you

No disrespect intended; he's a really good guy and wow, he has endured real tragedy so far in his young life (Dad dead at 46 of a heart attack, and brother dead of a drug overdose). I wish him well, just not against us.

Cripes I din't know any of that. That's a lot to deal with, and then he has to play QB for the 'shoes? Poor dude.

I'd settle for a 7-9 or even 8-8 type record with the arrow pointing up - e.g., Trevor becoming more consistent and the youngsters on defense -- Walker, Lloyd, Cisco, Campbell -- continuing to show improvement.

I think Allen needs to be extended on a team-friendly deal because he's not going to reach 10 sacks. If he refuses, I'd trade him while many teams still think he's talented and just needs the right coaching. Smoot needs to be resigned. Next year's draft needs to target linemen on both sides and a blue chip corner prospect. Seems pretty simple.

Since they play 17 games I'm guessing neither of those records happen...

I hope Campbell improves too, because Adams bullied him. On that 4th down play the Raiders ran a 1 man route with Adams on the quick slant. Campbell was on press man and attempted to jam him but Adams gave him in a lean right, step left, and then slant right and Campbell was playing the hokie pokie and Adams caught the ball with ease for a 1st down.

Basically the same result on the TD pass, etc. etc. Campbell is a squat corner and needs to improve on jamming the WR. I understand Pro Football Focus doesn’t agree with this.

Cisco in single high is not helping over the top. Instead Campbell and the other CB are not getting help over the top. For this to work the WR can’t get a free release.
Campbell came back and played a great game in the second half. Adams had no catches.

Campbell had his worst game this year giving up 4 catches on 8 targets and 1 TD.
Still not bad, but not as good as he had been.

That said, they did alter their dbl coverage approach in the second half and it worked. This should be implemented more on #1 receivers moving forward.
