It's from a couple of days ago. But here is who Jacksonville took.
4. Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU
35. Garett Bolles, T, Utah
68. Jake Butt, TE, Michigan
110. Dalvin Tomlinson, DT, Alabama
148. Brandon Wilson, CB, Houston
187. Avery Gennesy, G, Texas A&M
I like the first, second and fourth picks alot.
Not crazy about taking a tight end likely to miss the start of the year. And one that is far from an elite prospect to begin with.
I would think Derek Rivers or Teez Tabor.

I'd go with:
1. Fournette RB
2. Bolles OT
3. Carl Lawson Edge
4. Nico Siragusa OG
5. Lorenzo Jerome S
6. Dj Jones DT
I really wanted to go Tomlinson in the 4th as well but the OL scares me. Need to add at least 2 quality guys.
1.) Derek Barnett - DE - Tenn
2.) Garrett Bolles - OT - Utah
3.) D'onta Foreman - RB - Texas
4.) Nico Siragusa - OG - SD State
5.) George Kittle - TE - Iowa
6.) DJ Jones - DT - Ole Miss
I'd be pretty satisfied with getting basically 3 starters (Barnett/Bolles/Siragusa)
Foreman/Kittle would both see lots of action.

Where's Barnett starting ?

3rd down package when Calais kicks inside and possibly running downs over Yannick.

You wanna use a 4th overall pick on a guy to be on the field in situational plays? Over a guy who is always on the field? I don't get that at all.

Look back at the Leonard Williams draft. People like you couldn't comprehend drafting him cause we had Odrick.
Now look at where Odrick is and if taking Williams would have worked out. Get it now?

If the Jaguars don't draft a lineman until round 6...RIP Blake Bortles
If we get Bolles, where does he play?
That is, between him and Brandon Albert, which one is sliding in to the LG spot?
I'm thinking I'd rather Bolles play LG at first to develop more and then slide out when he's ready. The kid is incredibly athletic, but he's so raw it's almost scary putting him out at LT right off the bat. ...the big question I have though is... Can Bolles can play G?
I'm thinking...
1. Jonathan Allen
2. Garrett Bolles <--although Gareon Conley is very tempting
3. Nathan Peterman
4. Jordan Leggett
5. Brian Hill
6. Jalen Myrick
...although this is merely my "no trade" solution as I'd actually look to trade up to #2 for Garrett if he's there.

This is why the failure to address the offensive line in FA was so baffling. If we would have filled the LG spot and a talent like Bolles fell, he could be a rotational guy and develop before taking over the following year.
We're stuck having to draft a starting guard and that has to happen in round 2 or 3. The offensive line is going to handicap this team once again.
Quote:It's not like we'd really rotate the LT though. The DL is different in that regard.
So, the next best thing is to plug Bolles in at LG to gain some NFL experience until he's ready to move over. It almost helps with Bolles because the guy has Pro Bowl potential but you might want to take it easy with him initially due to his lack of experience. ...but again... can he actually play LG for the season?
Also, what about Albert who is looking for an extended deal? Should we make it clear with his new deal that he may have to eventually move inside, or do we risk another Poz situation where the guy is hesitant when given the news?
I meant more getting PT during the blowout losses or a series here or there to get him on the field (if we had a LG). Is Albert the long term answer at LT?
I'm not an OL expert but it seems most tackles can kick inside to get on the field for a year or 2 before moving outside. I don't see why Bolles would be any didferent. I would love it if we went guard and tackle in rounds 2-3. Looking at our line now, we have 1 player that you can definitively say is above average and that's Linder. That's a problem.
Quote:It's just there are some OTs like when the Jaguars had Mike Pearson who can't get low or play with any real power.
That is true. I guess we'll hope Lamp falls or we take a guy like Dawkins. Sad to think if we had to play a game today that we don't have a starting level quality player to line up at LG.
Carolina trade back
1st Cam Robinson OT
2nd Evan Engram WR
2nd Adoree Jackson CB
3rd Tyus Bowser OLB
4th Ethan Pocic C
5th Lorenzo Jerome SS
6th Ryan Glasglow DT
