The NFL actually made the right decision ahead of time to move the game. Buffalo will also play in Detroit for the Thanksgiving day game.

Over five feet of snow in that area. Evidently 24-hour snowfall totals broke an historic record for NY. And they're getting more.

I know it's not reasonable or practical to play in conditions like that, but I sure would love to see them try.  It would be a snow game for the Ages.

sad thing is they moved the game to a dome, so no weather whatsover.

I grew up in Cleveland and LOVED when we got a half foot to a foot of snow, we'd grab a ball, find a field and just have a blast. I get that you wouldn't be able to have fans (the lots are where all the snow in the stadium and nearby roadways goes), and ambulance, busses and such would be more trouble than worthwhile to keep the game there, but it would have been something to experience. Same game in a dome is forgettable as they come unless someone runs for 300 yards or throws 7 TDs.

His back has to be killing him, @that team is holding him back@

Nope.

Mahomes was and still is the best QB in the league. Even with the loss of Hill, he still has the Chiefs at the top and leads the league in TD passes. He’s crazy.

Do they even try rushing?

But yeah, when everyone was clamoring that we could have won if we didn't leave points on the table, well, that just would have caused them to go score more. They can score at will, and it's hard to imagine any team that will be able to reliably stop them without a bunch of fluky turnovers.

Disturbingly true. As someone hoping to see the Bolts reach the SB, I was hoping after the loss of Hill that the Chiefs would drop off a bit, but Reid has made excellent adjustments in spite of having almost no running game to speak of. Mahomes is essentially carrying that entire offense on his back, the true sign of a franchise quarterback.

"He won't be the same without Hill...."

I don't think he'll be in L.A for much longer. That roster is on the verge of imploding after last year's Superbowl run. I could see them blowing it all up and starting all over from top, down.

McVay was rumored to be on his way out already with a potential career in broadcasting and/or television. Probably wants a Michael Strahan type of gig. He's 36. He can always dip out of football for a few years and then come back in when the itch is too good to resist.

Yeah. It's a no contest for me. I am sure they'll get to play each other again in the post season. Mahomes just has his way out there at times. It's fun watching him and his style.

He's that backyard QB that Brett Favre was to me when I was growing up except he just seems to make the bigger plays in bigger moments instead of buckling under pressure at times and throwing the game away.

I knew as soon as L.A scored with Herbert. Just too much time left on the clock man. You cannot give Mahomes even a minute of clock out there with the game on line. He's going to make something happen one way or another.

They had more problems trying to leave to travel than they would have had if they stayed and played the game in an empty stadium. Players had to get help to make it to the flight.

I hope Walker finally puts it together next year and Baalke looks like a genius instead of an idiot thinking he's the smartest guy in the league going against who everyone wanted.
Hell of a game going on in Detroit..

He has done nothing. Saw he was hurt again for a few games but his stats definitely show he wasn't worth whatever amount he wanted.

He's played in 5 games and has 7 catches on 19 targets for 98 yards. He got hurt once again and missed time. He's yet to play in a full season without missing 1 game.

He isn't worth anything sitting on IR or the bench. He has a <50% target to catch ratio so he isn't getting open for easy throws.

I think I remember you really wanting to pay him but the stats show he isn't worth anything. Maybe he can finally show it on the field next year but his value continues to fall.

It's actually 9 catches for 114 yards and 2 TD in his limited time. And as far as the target/catch ratio, is he not getting open or is the Goof missing him? I'd bet that's more on the Goof than Chark, especially considering this from today's game..
Quote:Chark snagged a short touchdown on 3rd-and-goal from the one-yard line but otherwise had trouble connecting with quarterback Jared Goff. No instance was more indicative of this than the Lions' final third-down play when Goff badly under-threw him on a potential go-ahead touchdown pass.

The majority of his snaps came in the first 3 weeks and he got hurt in week 3. Missed a bunch of time, came back from injury and played 11 snaps against the Giants and I'm not sure how many he played today.

Nobody is worth anything sitting on IR, but there's nothing you can do if a player gets hurt. That's what happens in football.
I find it kind of funny how people get so wrapped up in strength of schedule and how ‘tough’ divisions are prior to the season starting.  AFC west which was supposed to be such a tough division has exactly one team over .500 while the ‘weak’ NFC East has every team over .500.  Yet people will still get hung up on strength of schedule again next year.

I say this every year in the offseason threads after the schedule is announced.

Fans will not change their perspective for the most part.
I think yannick has more sacks this year than our entire team.
