Don't dish out things you can't take. If the defensive player hadn't been running around with the ball after the play was over, he wouldn't have gotten leveled. Let them play ball. I though it was the best hit of the weekend.

There's enough opportunity to get a shot in on someone between the snap and the whistle. If you can't get it there, you're just being a sissy and doing it when no one is watching for it.
Boutte is a sissy, who isn't willing to take his shot while the guy was looking for it.
that Boutte guy is a giant. you will notice nobody even touched him after the hit. nobody wants to fight that massive human. jerk? ok. sissy? this is big boy football that requires huge balls to play.

Terrible cheap shot, weak voluntary "punishment" offered by LSU. The NCAA should step in and add a few games. It was OBVIOUS and dirty, unsportsmanlike to the highest degree in recent memory. Even a LSU fan would have to admit it was a disgusting display

The Wisconsin DB should have been flagged for Celebration. The LSU lineman should have been flagger for unsportman like conduct.. There was no fighting... nobody should have been ejected.

You know what? I'm going to change my stance on this. I've never met Boutte and I don't think it's fair to call the man a sissy. I will say however that he made a sissy act but that doesn't mean he is one. He just occasionally does things that sissies do.

The NCAA committee uses a case by case system. I think there isn't a NCAA standard, but 1 game is "normal". LSU just beat the NCAA to the punch to take credit for "discipline" that would have been handed down regardless (I believe hoping to otherwise minimize the damage). Also, the Badger recipient of the hit was a complete class act about it - tough guys never let you know it hurt.
