Kirstie Alley died following a short battle with cancer.

Kirstie Alley died following a "battle with cancer," according to her family. She was 71.

She was "surrouned by her closest family and fought with great  strengthelaving us with a certainty of her neer-ending joy of living and whatever adventures lie ahead," her official Twitter account said.

I had to check the link.  My whole life I thought her name was pronounced “Keer-stee”.

Never mind.  Link has it wrong.
