Tannehill is done for the year. They just signed Dobbs off Det PS. The injuries they have are unreal. Two years in a row. Truthfully I think Willis is the better option than Tannehill because behind that OL Tannehill cannot protect himself and that is why he is done and why the owner fired their GM.

I think Willis is gonna be solid. I am not sure how he will play this year but a lot of their defensive injured guys are coming back. The strength of their team is defense. When we beat them they were missing 8 starters.

I think the were easier to beat with a hurt Tannehill behind that OL.

I think Willis will make Henry lethal in the run game.

I never thought Tannehill was all that.

That's going to be true going forward barring some catastrophic injury.  Trevor's the real deal.  I really believe he is going to be a top 5 qb in the league for the next several years.

Absolutely right.

However, it's good enough and new enough to still be a bit of a novelty to me.

For the bulk of my Jaguars existence (and as I think of it, the bulk of my pre Jaguars existence) having a superstar, franchise QB was always for other teams.

I'm taking in all of the perks to this Trevor Lawrence era.

I just hope we get enough star and good players around him so we can finally win a Vince Lombardu trophy or 7.
Tannehill typically won’t lose you a ball game, just May not win it. Willis can be fooled into turnovers. I think this bodes well for us.

His 288 posts have all been about the titans and yet he still thinks he can convince us he isn't a titans fan in disguise. Your team sucks dude!

Malik Willis is a heckuva atj;ete. but is not yet a heckuva passer.

If the tacks start Wllis, will they be able to beat the Texans, who have been playing very well of late, and look like they have not quit despite being the worst team in the league record wise?

How long do they start him?

If it's simply a manner of Tannbehill's ankle, suppose Yannehill comes back the next week, will that be enough to beat Dallas the following week?

Of course, I'd love the idea that they were raising the white flag on the season!!!!

Willis has started two games. Beat the Texans and barely lost at Kansas City. Willis didn't appear to be much of a passing threat. But having a runner at QB probably opens things up for Henry more than normal.

I'm not sure this is a huge step back for them but if they were to fall behind in any game I do think that'll be more difficult.
Wow. I just seen the news that tannyhill is out for the season. Super suprised. Hate to see injury but every team has them. We lost Robinson which sucks. AFC south is up for the taking!

Exactly.   I think this creates 2 challenges,

1.) Even if we hold serve the next two games we have still have to beat them.  They're going to craft a diverse running game with a lot of misdirection that will require tons of discipline.    Lloyd and mama have both even caught with their heads on the swivel @ times.  Defense is going to have to be fundamentally sound.

2.) Expectations.  This is different now.  @ the beginning of the season it was about changing culture, can the kid play, and the possibility of meaningful late game football.  Now were media darlings that are expected to win the AFC south.  That's a different kind of adversity to manage.

bank on nothing, worry about the next game and the next game alone. We've lost to worse QBs before.

Zero guarantees in this season.

Of course, biggest bag of money usually wins regardless.

Talking heads say Payton is circling around the Chargers job.  I'd much rather see that.  Let him duke it out with Ried.

This would be the first that I have heard Staley's job in jeopardy.

It would make more sense than either TN or Indy, though, Payton is more high powered offense than the smashmouth ball both AFCS teams are presently built for. I kinda wonder if DEN takes a run at him?

maybe in a preseason?

I think what happens with the Titans is pretty important, and it bears directly on the Jaguars' chances to win the division, so I think it belongs here.

Yea exactly and we were getting gashed early in our first game against the Titans.  Only after our offense got it rolling after the Titans kept turning the ball over (which we can't rely on to happen again), were they forced to abandon the run.  The flip side is if Willis cant figure out how to pass, in theory we should be able to put more people in the box to shut down the run.
Two more games of tape to study on the dude. Removes a lot of the unknowns.
