I just can't see a close score unless the team just comes out flat unprepared. We are surging with a ton of momentum and a hot QB, facing a backup QB and team with negative momentum. Their pass defense is horrible, our pass offense is great. Our defense is playing lights out, their defense is lackluster. We are playing like a great team, and great teams beat bad teams. I get anything can happen, but Doug is not gonna let us down.
Expect some [BLEEP] we haven’t seen from them early. Trick plays or different looks. We have the ability to come back if we get down early. I don’t think they do, so they’ll want to take the lead and then take the air out of the ball. I hope we take the ball first if we win the toss so they don’t get the opportunity.

One concern is the Jags jump out early and then let themselves relax and the tacks manage to claw their way back in it. Pederson is less likely to let that happen but it's a young team still. I'd almost rather it stay a little close just so the Jags keep the hammer down for the whole game.

Pederson always keeps the throttle down. I don't see the Jaguars letting up if they get out to an early lead. I much rather them be up by 17 at halftime than having to sweat it out.

Also, the earlier we get out to a lead the earlier we can take Henry out of the game. Titans aren't built to come back from being down multiple scores.

I actually think jumping out to an early lead is the best possible situation.

More Dobbs throws and less Henry runs? Yes please.

This defense also seems to thrive off of emotion and momentum. If they are playing well early, they’ll likely take that wave and ride it the whole game.

Good point.  This is when you want a strong veteran presence to keep the young guys focused, especially on defense.  A guy like Calais Campbell.

Didn’t Pederson criticize Marrone for taking his foot off the gas against the Patriots in the AFCCG?

Yes. It's in his book I think. It was one of the determining factors I believe for his aggressiveness against the Patriots in the Superbowl. I like his coaching style. I don't see him slowing up or laying down on anybody. I would be very, very intrigued by a Jaguars Vs. Patriots play off game if it shakes out like that.

Would be one hell of a chess match coaching wise I think.

More like chessboxing, I think, and not a balanced match at that...
My anxiety about this game exists on several levels. First 1999 and the AFC championship game here. Second our recent record with that team from tennessee. Lastly the second Colts game this year. This game tonight has the opportunity to be a memorable experience or just another nightmare to add to this list. Either way I'll be there....

oh the score? actually who cares as long as it is a Jag win?

With Belichick calling and coaching the defense? Not so sure. Mac Jones sucks though.
Jags 27-17.

Interestingly, score predictions by Tennessean sportswriter favors Jags 6 out of 8.

Only Trevor can stop my Jaguar nightmares. Is Trevor the real deal? We are fixin to find out… boy oh boy oh boy, ooh boy.   I’m having flashbacks
This is Trevor's biggest game since college. He's won the big one and lost the big one at that level. I think he'll shine tonight. I think Pederson and him are in sync and they'll only get better overtime. It feels like we truly have the next Sean Payton / Drew Brees combination here in Jacksonville. My biggest call out is that Etienne was limited pretty good last time we played them. I think Lawrence will be making more plays with his legs tonight than previously seen and I think he's going to make some great plays in the process with said legs.

I am expecting a 6+ carries, 60+ rushing yards, 2 rushing TD's performance tonight out of Lawrence.

Yes, and he was right. Most of us were calling Marrone out for it the whole season.

Pederson has shown that he will not do that in several games this year. The only adjustment he makes is to chew clock a little bit more with early down handoffs.

This offense is well balanced. We're 10th in passing and 10th in rushing now. Pretty interesting how it all shapes out with Pederson's play calling style.
