So I'm seeing a generous 7-9. With good coaching I would see the Jaguars winning weeks 3, 6, 10, and 12 and going 11-5.

First time going through I came up with 5-11 and losses at Lions and vikings, but I don't want to be that pessimistic, but I could easily see a team under Gus ending up with 11 losses.

If only Minnesota traded for Mark Sanchez instead of Sam Bradford, we would have a better chance at that one. I was hoping the Vikings would trade for Sanchez before the deadline because he sucks.

The Lions are the Lions. It would be a big upset if we lose in Detroit.

In what world has Sam Bradford done anything aside from sucking at pro football? Besides, we play them pretty late. I fully expect his knee to have been exploded in 12 places by then.

Barring Injury to Bortles, Honestly if Gus doesn't win at least 8 games I think it's time for him to go. This schedule is noooot as difficult as last years.

What do you base these statements on?

In June,  the Lions were listed as 3 1/2 point favorites in the game.   What has changed with either team since then for the spread to go from the point the Lions are 3 1/2 point favorites to it being a BIG UPSET if the Jaguars lose the game?

Instead of general statements,  want don't you provide football reasons why the Lions are still the Lions?     Being that the team won 6 out of the last 8 games last season,   I'm waiting for your response.

For what it's worth,  at this point in time I think this game could go either way.     Like so many other games,  injuries will go a very long way in determining the outcome.
D6, I am just trash talking as a Packers fan.  Smile

Be glad I will be in Italy during Lions week LOL.

Oh my goodness. You can't say it would be a huge upset for the Jags to lose (to anyone really) and then use your allegiance to the Packers as solid reasoning. At least bring up the obvious Calvin Johnson retirement argument.

BTW. You just announced to everyone on here that you're a fan of the team that the Jags play in a week. I hope your team loses and all your cats get diarrhea in the same day.

Do you realize when you say you're a Packers fan, it makes people get even more annoyed with you?

Of course I do. But that does not make me any less of a Jaguars fan.
packers beat jags by a score of 34 to 10 . there is no way our defense can stop any team in the nfl.  a team with no defense will get beat bad by a qb like rogers.

Not true at all Snow. You are just spreading hate on the Jaguars.

This is my thinking. We're on par with teams that have also been under performing or are also on the upswing. Like bills, vikings, raiders, texans.

Our wins should happen against some of the bad teams and loses against the better teams.

So 7-13 wins to 3-9 loses. The exact median is 10-6.
The Vikings don't fit in either category. They won the NFC North last year and still have a lot of good players. If they underperform this year, it is most likely because of their QB situation.

After the Bills seemed to be on the upswing last year, Rex Ryan is already on the hot seat. The whole offseason was bad in Buffalo from what I read. The timing of that game (late November) is their only advantage over us if they don't get back to where they were.

I almost shed a tear because of this post. A thing of beauty and truly a front runner for Post of the Year..

Losing to Houston twice i doubt that!
I'll say they manage anywhere from 7 to 11 wins. I was thinking toward the higher end before the Bengals game, but now I'm tempering my expectations. As a prediction, I'll simply pick the middle of this range and say 9-7.

The bigger questions is, do the Jaguars win the division and make the playoffs? They'd be hard stressed this year to get in as a W/C, so their best shot is to win the division. Again, I was thinking they could do this much back around the time training camp started, but watching the Jaguars defense struggle this preseason along with watching the Texans dominating all of their games, I have to give the Texans the edge for the division at this point in time.

As for the Colts and Titans, I see them battling for third place.

Its hard for me to look at any game and say the jags will lose.. But the realistic aspect of things are they very well will lose some games... I just dont see many... I wonder before the 98-99 season how many of us fans were predicting the jags to go 14-2?

Im guessing it was a very few amount. I honestly can see us beating every team but I think Green Bay, Colts, Chargers, will give us the most problems..

I believe the jags will go 10-6 !!
I'll post up the game later when I get on a computer but my record prediction is 5-11. I've been hyped up two many times before at this point to bother expecting anything better.

The sad fact is we have a tough start and 2-2 would be a good record the kick things off. If we go 0-4 the fanbase will be going nuts...
