Well ladies and gents, it seems we've come to end of our regular season ride. Back in September most were excited for the idea that the ceiling for our Jags was to play some meaningful games late in the year while eking out six or seven wins. Tonight we get what is effectively a playoff game in Jacksonville as the good guys take on the hated tittians for the division crown and right to host a playoff game next weekend. We humiliated this team just a month ago and with the shape they're in we can be reasonably confident that it could happen again.
Game time tonight is 8:15 and the game will air locally on ABC and ESPN.
I look forward to the entire day of excitement, discussion, arguing, and snark. Go Jags!
I remember when there was a rush as the clock turned midnight to be the first to start the game day thread. The team was trash, but we had that little competition to entertain us. Fun times.

I usually drop it around 8am but was duck hunting this morning. The last few weeks other folks have been starting them at 3 or 4am and I ain't getting up that early.
I do wonder if we'll get back to where we need an ***Official Second Half Thread*** some time.
We need to send Rayshawn Jenkins or Dewey Wingard on a run blitz every play.
It's going to be a night to remember. This is the day we'll make sure the AFC South is ours.
We could argue a loss and a 8-9 record would still be much better than anyone really anticipated before the season but things have changed and expectations too.
I see I'm not the only one to think the playoffs begin today. We are better than that other team and I want us to crush them. It's time to show the NFL what we can do.
5 more games this season. 5 more wins.
Let's go!

It will happen in February.

This. I agree. I am loading the box up and playing single high safety and man-to-man coverage on the outside. If a TE or RB motions out wide I am sending a LB with them. Everybody else is either at the LOS or shooting gaps.
I am not letting Henry beat me tonight. I am daring Dobbs to drop back and throw it. We just need to score points often and early to will that into existence this evening. This game is either going to be close or a complete blow out. Either way. We're coming out on top. I would prefer to relax and be celebrating at half time with a 28 - 0 lead personally.
What worries me is running QBs quickly and frequently exploit our D. It's like kryptonite against us. If Dobbs decides to use his legs on 3rd downs, it's going to be a long night because we just don't know how to stop it.

That's why you load the box and and send everybody from every angle. I would rotate Wingard/Jenkins/Cisco back and forth all night from a single high safety position. Williams and Campbell are in man-to-man all night and everybody else is in the box and daring Dobbs to throw it or anybody to try and run it from out of the backfield.
The real key is our offense. Just go out early and get up on them with a 14 - 0 lead and the atmosphere becomes even more electrically charged in our favor. Should be a slobber knocker.
I keep telling myself, don’t get excited, don’t get excited. Aaah [BLEEP], I went and got excited.. don’t break my heart , again….
Travon Walker is overdue for a breakout game. Would love to see him single handedly takeover multiple series tonight. TFL's, Sack's, etc.
It's his time to shine.

That's the trouble with playing man to man coverage. To stop a QB from running, you have to play zone.

Say it with me, "Goosfraba."
I have to get over my PTSD from '99
'I have a second home in the heads of Jaguars fans.'
We all know it's true. Tonight will begin the exorcism of this demon.

What a season it's been, with the pretty hot start, to losing close games to finishing strong and confident with 4 straight wins. To top it off it's a division title showdown between a hated rival and a home playoff spot. I haven't been this anxious since the AFC championship game but excited for tonight! I want a win tonight so so much
