Anyone going to the Tennessee vs VA Tech game at the Bristol Speedway?

My boss got us all tickets. I'm not really a big college fan, but it should be a really cool experience.
does seem interesting. what would be real interesting is if they had a race going on during the football game.

Might as well. No one cares about Tennessee football.

I would love to go, I'm envious.

The atmosphere is going to be unreal.

Two of the best fan bases in the country, and the largest crowd ever for a college football game.
Game Day will be there. The game itself may turn into a low scoring defensive battle but you should go. The atmosphere will be unreal and it may just get you hooked on CFB. If you haven't been to many games my word of advice is to expect good and bad fans. UT may have one group of fans that feed you glorious tailgate food until you're stuffed and if you walk ten feet you may find a group of UT fans that may want to fight you for any given reason. Same with any fan base. I doubt it happens but I've seen it in my many years tailgating. Makes for fun stories. In fact, the reason I dislike Auburn is because I went to first college football game at 7years old and while I was waiting on my father to get out of the bathrooms I had a cup of coke in my hand and a drunk auburn fan walked up and asked if I had any whiskey in it. When I said no he called me a derogatory homosexual slur and slapped the cup out of my hand. It was horrifying at the time but now I laugh about it every time I think on it. Have a great time man
VaTech fans are fun. Spent a week drinking partying with them on Bourbon St. in NOLA for the 2012 Sugar Bowl. Great, great time.

I'm very excited to go. My whole workplace are pretty much UT fans with one VT fan. We got a 30x40 tent and tons of food and alcohol. Should be a blast.
Been talking with a couple buddies about going up just to tailgate.  Would be cool to go inside the stadium but I bet the tailgate scene will be awesome.

It was a ridiculous atmosphere there yesterday. Really fun time, the view from the seats was far away, but a great experience
I'm jealous.  Would have been sweet to be there.  I'm sure it's like the winter classic outdoor hockey games.  You probably cant see a thing but you're really just there for the atmosphere.

disregard post below -- you answered my question / curiosity via your supplemental pics that were posted --- Thanks !!

I'm curious about the view.  Those seats looked like they were a mile away.   Heck, the front row in the corner was ~ 60 yards away from the field of play.

Those endzone seats looked terrible... the field looked a mile away.

Could you even see the players numbers? What about the ball?
Oh the seats were bad. I could actually see better than I expected, but no, I couldn't read the numbers. You could see the ball though. It was much more of an "experience" type game than it was to actually watch.

It was a really fun time though. A little concerning how bad security was, I could have brought anything I wanted into that place. They didn't even scan my ticket, let alone monitor the metal detectors.
