Black folks were kept separate and inferior in Virginia from 1619 to 1959.   Name a stronger tradition. Not all Virginians went to school.  Not all of them went to church.  Some drank, some didn't.  Some were loyal to the British, some weren't. Some believed in capitalism and free trade, some believed in tariffs. But until 1959 they were all segregated, or worse (except military personell, who desgregated in 1948).  All of them were involved in it.  Everyone.  For 340 years.  Yes, the last 60 years have been about fixing that, but still, nearly everyone either experienced this tradition, or has a living grandparent who experienced it.  Soon the tradition will fade from living memory, but that day is not today.

Because white people have only ever done bad things.

Who said that? Not me. In all those points in history, some white Virginians tried to improve the status of black people, and even the worst racists of the bunch did some good things in other areas of life.

Just because you don't make those associations doesn't mean that nobody makes them. The politicians who say these things are aiming at people like you and also at people who make these associations. No one chooses their words more carefully than a politician. They know what they're doing.

Don't duck the question I asked. Who are the REAL economists who say Norway, Mexico, and Brazil are socialist countries? Who are the REAL historians who define what traditional values are?

I can agree with that. But it’s also a statement which must be taken into context. 

Races around the world have treated their own races and those from competing tribes and factions with unimaginable horror, including cannibalism, slavery, rape and mass murder. The context is the history of exploration and colonialism. What other race spent the middle centuries in world exploration and conquest on the scale of Europeans? The races which didn’t were satisfied with doing their marauding in relative proximity. The point being, Europeans do not have a monopoly on doing “bad things”, far from it. They just did it on a larger stage.
