The guy has a 10+ million dollar salary on the last year of his deal and isn't the dominant player he used to be. I'd hope the Jaguars aren't dumb enough to give up draft capital for him beyond a late round pick that isn't likely to make the roster, anyway.
We aren't built to use Derrick Henry, he's not a fit for this offense.
Supposedly there's some rumors around Twitter that the Eagles are interested in him.

Or defense. Jenkins would miss Sundays recovering from practice in the ICU.

That sounds great and everything until you really think about the consequences of winning the Super Bowl.   I mean, I sure has heck don't want to stay up until midnight waiting for the Jags to make their draft selection with the 32 pick in the draft.
Jags are not going to land Henry. Same as the Hopkins rumor earlier. We are way too tight in cap room for much else.
I kind of like the Titans having $52m in cap hit tied up in Tannehill and Henry this season.

Given the fact that he has embarrassed the Jags throughout his career, I'd hope the Jags would sign him to a 5 year deal then just let him rot on the bench, preventing him from making the HOF.   I'd also make him work extra hard during training camp to make certain his body wears down over that time period, perhaps even spike his Gatorade with HGH then call the league office to have him drug tested.

Dang son! What did he do to you? Lol.
I just seen the titans gm reportedly has not received calls for Henry. Hmm
Tannyhill and Henry are taking up 36.6 and 16.4 M of their cap space for 2023. That's over 22% of 224.8 M set by the NFL. No team is going to take that on, especially for Tannyhill. They aren't going anywhere this year.

And the tacks have another 16% of their 2023 cap being eaten up by Harold Landry and Kevin Byard.
Apparently they shopped Byard early in the offseason to no avail.

Yep. It's been bittersweet just watching that position slowly die in the NFL. Along with the FB position. I'll be 35 tomorrow so I know it's probably even more bittersweet or just plain bitter with some of the old heads on here.

I went from watching runners like Taylor, Jones-Drew, James, Alstott, Dunn, Faulk, Tomlinson, Martin, Peterson, Davis, Portis, Charles, Johnson, Bettis, George, Lewis, etc. to just watching maybe one, two backs a year now that truly standout and separate themselves.

It makes those throwback highlights now of Smith, Sanders, Payton, Brown, Campbell, Simpson, Sayers, Csonka, Riggins & Harris that much more special.

Imagine when the Wing-T started getting phased out in favor of the halfback / fullback sets and later when QBs like Unitas, Baugh and YA Tittle started slinging it. Up till then, WRs were an afterthought. Leather helmet covered heads must have been exploding. I've actively followed the NFL/AFL since 1966, and all things considered, this is one of the best eras ever to be a fan. While watching a Dick Butkus almost single handedly shut out an opposing offense can be occasionally fun to watch, there are only so many 10-7 or 14-13 games you can take. The possibility of teams massing huge comebacks is what makes this era one of the best. We all experienced it ourselves last year multiple times, and I cant wait for what this year brings.

He's ruined some of my Thursdays & Sundays from his time with the Titans and even Saturdays when he was at Bama.  Quite frankly, people like Putin, Henry, and Kim Jung Un should be eliminated from this planet.

Compare the pads guys wore in those throwback videos to the pads today. Might have slowed guys down, but that's not necessarily a bad thing when you consider the injuries we see in today's game.

Interesting list.  From that, when I think of the old school north-south bruising type runners from each generation I think of the following:  Henry, Peterson, Eddie George, Bettis, Alstott, Csonka, Riggins, E. Campbell
