If that means keeping our 3rd round pick, and giving us access to the player we want I'd do it.

We just gotta get the pick right.

Trade up into the 40s if someone truly valuable falls, like Torrence or Cam Smith, who could both help the team this year. Try not to give up all three 4th rounders unless #56 can be salvaged. Would be nice to have two 2nd rounders to grab one offense and one defense. I'd take Torrence and Foskey -- continue the big ugly theme.

dude im all in on a torrence trade.. to have harrisson and torrence with cam coming back after suspension would be huge ..
With all the mid/late picks we've accumulated I would sure hope we plan on bundling those and moving up to get a quality starter to fill a hole. Pretty much a guarantee I would think.

They're 100% coming back up more than once at some point in this draft. They're patching at least two more needs in this draft. Probably right off the bat tonight within the 32nd - 40th range.

You think we move up that high?
I can't see them moving up to 32-40 with the possible exception of getting Branch. If they loved him and feel he is capable of putting the defense "over the top" it will have to be a consideration. The reason I don't think they'll do this is because they should still be able to get a very good nickel at 56 or by trading up in round 3.

Clark Phillips at 56 would be just fine.

Yes. It's possible. Why else would you stockpile those picks? It should be possible to move up if they know for a fact that they have a need and roster spot wide open with a new starter available.

You could swap 56 with whomever that high up in RD2 and even throw the 88th pick in there to pull it off. You can still use all of those 4th, that one 5th and those 6th and 7th RD picks to creep back up into the bottom of RD3 or early RD4 again. I wouldn't sweat it at all.

It's going to take more than our 2nd and 3rd to move up that high.  I hope we make a move though
Using the trade value chart, each 4th round pick (which the Jags have 3 at this time) has the ability to move up 4-5 picks in the 2nd round, and about 10 picks in the 3rd round. I don't see them using all the 4th round picks to move up to the top of the 2nd round. Instead, I see them using a single 4th round pick in each the 2nd and 3rd rounds to move up slightly for a targeted player within reach of their current picks 2-56 and 3-88.

I'm definitely a fan of Clark Phillips III and he would have a 50-50 chance of being there at 56. He'd previously been mocked as high as round 1, but his height and less than elite speed dropped him. He has great instincts and ball skills and would be a perfect nickel.

Agreed
We need some help from a recognizable name on defense. We can't just hope for miracle development out of Walker and Lloyd to save this team.
4th round is about the last round where the picks are significantly important in my opinion. After the 4th, the potential drops unless one gets lucky.

That's where you find the non-prototype players ie RBs, 34 Ends, 2nd TEs, NBs, 43 Sams, and Guards. Guys that you need but aren't the premiums that demand the higher picks.

I’m all in for trading up for branch, I think he’s Perfect, playing nickel then potentially dropping back to safety and none packages, I think he’s the one.
Can we get a dude? The Jaguars are winning a friggin championship soonish.
Uhhhhh
Baalke said in his press conference that they tried to trade up, but couldn't make a deal.
