So, in this coming election, I'm most certainly a Gary Johnson supporter. I thought that this was a pretty cool idea for those concerned that a third party vote is just throwing one's vote away. It's also downright hilarious. Give it a look.

The US election system will always trend to a two party system. It's a mathematical certainty.
While Gary isn't a real libertarian my vote is a vote of obstruction at this point. I vote for Gary in hopes enough people will join me to squeeze the two party system, it's fundamentally flawed.

The GOP was almost right. The cultural shift is nearly complete. Texas, Georgia, Louisiana, North Carolina, and Arizona will be light blue by 2020 and solid blue by 2024, regardless of Hillary or Trump or Johnson. No Republican, even the most moderate or "conservative" of them all (see Rubio, Jeb, Kasich) will be able to win. The chance of a *real* libertarian ever coming to power will be nil (not that it was ever possible now).
If you are voting Gary Johnson to essentially speed up the decline of the nation so we can get on with
the happening, then OK I can respect that, because even Trump would have an extremely hard time of reversing course. If you are voting Gary Johnson because you actually thinks he has a chance to challenge the two-party system, then for shame.

That was before Scalia died. Before Obama took office the GOP had majorities on 10 of 13 federal circuits. Now we only control 4. The supreme court was essentially 4.75 to 4.25 with Kennedy as a sane left leaning justice. If you give Hillary 5 committed leftists and the presidency then the constitutional principles you cherrish will be consigned to the scrap heap of history in the name of a "living document"
Donald Trumps platform is the most conservative since Reagan. What's our three main objections. Lets hash this out.

I joke about it but in all seriousness no we have lots of provisions and land. I'm a homesteader so were minimalist we try very hard to be self sufficient. I almost bought a storage container once with the idea of burrying it but our land is to wet. We might one day building as a semi below ground shelter but I'm not really concerned with the need of ever using a shelter. I'm more concerned with slow rising inflation and eroding income making it impossible to live on a salary alone.
That's why I raise chickens for eggs and meat, pigs for meat, veggies and fruits (not nearly enough but it helps). We make our own laundry soap, have rain barrels and at least 300 gallons of water on hand in various drums, various tools to make common necessities possible stuff like that.
And of course plenty of guns and ammo but that's more fun than anything.

Speaking of the Whig party... I thought this analysis was very interesting. I'm not sure I buy all of it. But it does seem to make sense. In a nut shell: When one party is so out of whack, it creates a vacuum where nationalistic/anti-foreigner sentiment can take over.
