Hope Harrison holds up against Parsons, if that indeed happens. That would be a big win. Ready for a heavy dose of Tank.

Rookie tackle versus one of the best pass rush vets in the league

I kind of expect Harrison to get whipped a couple of times.

Would make sense - and probably not worry me too much.

Exactly.  It is a "Welcome to the NFL" for the rookie.  We just don't want Trev getting smashed. Just want to see the rookie hold his own and fight back, show some resilience. Take his lumps and keep coming back.

Yessir

Great experience for him right out of the gate as a rook
I don't really expect a whole lot.  I don't really care much for preseason "games" because it's nothing more than a "scrimmage" to allow both teams to walk rookies through an actual game.  I would guess that actual starters from both teams won't play more than a series or two.

Once that part is over what you have is a bunch of rookies trying to make the team and/or players that might need the extra reps.

The biggest and most pressing issue to me is no major injuries.
How does NFL+ determine which team’s broadcast to show? Is it always the home team?

I think so.  That's how it has been the last few years at least.
This is the part of the year where I worry about injuries.

Is it time to overreact yet?

Here ya go

Felt like the game was interesting from start to finish. I liked our overall RB performances minus the Conner fumble. I think our TE room is more interesting this year. WR depth looks intriguing with Harris and Williams' performances.

I think I saw a lot of flashes from a lot of rookies tonight. Bigsby had a 34 yarder, Strange had some tough underneath catches today which were on par with his Penn State highlights. I didn't see Harrison get flagged or whooped too bad at RT.

Washington showed some good feel and vision as a returner. Braswell had an INT after a shakey start. Abdullah impressed more than once getting after the QB. Miller got a sack.

Overall. I was impressed. Seems like the coaching staff has shown more fluidity and is finding a better groove already. Only real complaint was the middle of the defense seemingly getting gashed at times in the passing game, the LB's looking suspect at times and the long snapper situation preventing any FG attempts.

As far as the veterans? Lawrence shook off an early bad pass. The WR's look great and a nice mix of all three of them was put on display early on the TD drive and 2 PT conversion. Hamilton looks like that missing push up the middle we were missing last year. He's going to be fun to watch this year. Junior looks like a good fit on ST's with the nickel job to lose.

Next two weeks are going to be fun.

Our 1s went against their 2s, have to remember that.

We should get a better look next week vs the Lions.
As much as I like Herndon, right now Junior is the nickel.
Did parish get any snaps

Yes, he played a little bit late in the game.  They threw him one ball which he didn't catch.

He had two or three snaps at FB with solid blocking efforts. Didn't look lost in assignment and kept his head on a swivel to catch a free runner if needed on a passing play.

The dropped pass looked more like a busted screen play to me. The DT or DE was all over that one early from what I saw. Not a real clean opportunity to get it.

Would like to see him in the starting line up next week or final week to see if he can handle lead blocking starting quality LB's chipping at starting quality DE's in the running game.
