Critics warn California bill protecting school officials would punish parents who speak out at board meetings

Legal expert says SB 596 could punish parents for sending two emails that cause a school board official to 'mentally suffer'

California Democrats are advancing a bill that would expand state law criminalizing harassment of school officials, as more parents speak out against liberal policies at school board meetings across the state.

If you live in either NY or California, it's your own damn fault.. Don't like stepping in feces on the sidewalks or not having a say in your child's education? Move..

Two of the worst states in the country and everyone already knows why..

Not all of NY is NYC and not all of CA is SF.
You would be very surprised visiting some of the more rural and out of the way parts of those states.

If California was a country, their GDP would rank 5th in the world.   Also, not sure if you've been to California (I assume not), but their landscape (ocean, mountains, farmlands, desert) and climate are 2nd to none.  This flatland microwave with 100% humidity that we live here in Florida is getting harder to deal with each year.

And yet, people are leaving California and New York by the droves.. They're not just leaving San Francisco and New York City, they're leaving the states themselves..

But yeah, California and New York are the bestesses!!!

California is nice if you get out of the city.  I have relatives that live there that own large farms/ranches.  One family owns a farm/winery that they are about ready to leave because of the taxes/regulations being put on them.  My other uncle owns a fairly large cattle ranch which again, they are almost being forced out by the liberals in the city.  Taxes and water restrictions are forcing them out of business.
How do you determine if someone mentally suffered? There used to be standards to ensure things were enforceable, but I guess not anymore.

These people are so screwed up mentally that the very act of them having to schedule a meeting and then think about the evil parents that will show up will probably send them into a panic attack.

I don't know what it is causing this, other than liberalism being a mental disease. Maybe bullying and not giving everyone a participation trophy for failure had a large impact on helping people not turn into mentally weak wimps. Maybe their subconscious is fighting them and anytime someone pushes back they realize for a moment that their subconscious is right and they breakdown for a moment.

Leaving in droves?    They've basically lost 410,000 of the 39 million population in a 5-year period.  California simply got too expensive and now that people can work remotely, there's no reason to pay $1.2m for a 2,000 square foot house in the suburbs of San Diego, LA, or SF when you can get the same for $600,000 in Phoenix or $350,000 in Jacksonville.   California's like Boars Head.  Boars Head turkey is better than the Publix brand but ultimately when Boars Head goes up in price from $8.99/pound to $12.99 a pound, some people will ultimately opt for the Publix brand.  Smile

The population of California in 2022 was 39,029,342, a 0.29% decline from 2021.
The population of California in 2021 was 39,142,991, a 0.91% decline from 2020.
The population of California in 2020 was 39,501,653, a 0.16% increase from 2019.
The population of California in 2019 was 39,437,610, a 0% increase from 2018.

Move to California and see how that works out for you.  Probably as well as that Carnival Cruise Lines stock.
There are people in CA who have inherited homes and inherited all manner of commercial property and are still paying taxes on it based on the 1978 property values. There are a lot of people like that. Move there if you want, but if you do, you will essentially be paying rent to those people, the Squire class of California, for the rest of your life. Even if you're not technically renting. Because your tax rate will be more based on current land values. You'll be paying for their services. You'll be right next door to them, in a similar house, and you'll be paying 10x or 20x more taxes than them. And your mortgage payment will essentially be propping up their insanely high property values. They occasionally take out equity loans on that equity that your purchase gave them. Unless your family owned land there going back at least 40 years, moving to CA is one of the worst financial decisions you can make.

That CCL that's up 112% since I bought in on his advice? That's not a very good example of a problem friend.

I was going to point that out but didn't want to be called racist.
