Biden admin takes action restricting oil, gas development after settlement with eco groups

Biden admin targeting oil and gas sector 'at a time of continued inflation with prices rising at the pump,' industry group says

The Biden administration issued new restrictions on oil and gas companies operating in the Gulf of Mexico, in an effort to protect a whale species after it settled last month with a coalition of environmental groups.

And soon we'll see the brain restricted supporters...
Just buy stock in oil companies and you'll be happy when there is a supply shortage. The $$ one makes in stocks will far outweigh the price differential in gas.
Apparently this is all because there is a whale in the gulf of Mexico that was always assumed to be the abundant Bryde's whale but as of two years ago is believed to be a separate and very rare species that they're calling the Rice's whale.
Honestly it sounds like a hoax to me.
And even if this newly discovered whale goes extinct, its niche will be filled by the actual Bryde's whale instantly.
This was not what they had in mind when they wrote the endangered species act.

Your naivete is showing again. This is exactly what those people had in mind with that legislation.
