Hmmm Devon's College running mate at Ohio State.
Interesting.

He’s a big strong body but didn’t impress much in Cleveland. Good PS signing.
Welcome to Duval!

If anybody knows Pederson well, it's Andy Reid. I doubt it's an intel thing.
Maybe they'd like to pick his brain on the new passing game coordinator a bit - but I kinda doubt it.

Pederson loves to run lots of plays from the same looks, so it's hard to know what's coming at you.
Not sure Geritt Prince is going to have too many "tells" to share that will make a difference in the way Reid prepares for the Jags.

Likely just a good scouting report on Prince from their pro personnel dept and they don't have any notable TEs on the roster behind Kielce - so a developmental guy kinda makes sense.

Gerrit is from Kansas as well.  I would assume we made an offer to him, but he likely preferred the proximity to home.

This will end up being a mistake. Prince will become a starting tight end with very good hands. And we’ll look back and shake our heads in disbelief that we kept Luke Farrell over him! Luke Farrells grow on trees.

Prince may well develop into that, but it will take another year or 2. They need a blocking TE on the team that they trust right now, because they are trying to win now. Unfortunately, these are the types of decisions that good teams trying to win now have to make.

You cannot just stack the back of the roster with the boom/bust guys and then expect to have the depth/versatility to beat the good teams.

Strange is as good a blocker as Farrell. We saw that in preseason. If Strange goes down, call up Farrell from the PS or someone like him from another team's PS. There's no need for two blocking TEs on the 53-man roster.
