I am a Jared Lorenzen type. Just hefty though. No lefty aspect to my game.

Pride. Legacy. I really like the kid. Think he's a solid passer from the games I have seen him in. Really looking forward to this Oregon and USC game over the next two weeks with them. Tough task without Hunter but he should still find a way to put points on the board.

I'm basically saying if you are reportedly gonna pull 8 figures a year in college, there's very little motivation to leave early, unless a good team has an aberration of a miserable season and has the top pick. Nobody is gonna declare for the darft if the options are playing for the Cards or Bears vs. hanging out on campus and drawing the same salary.
Once the eligibility is gone, sure, go make that scratch and do your dad proud.

He could end up probably on a team like New England, Tampa Bay or New York. I can't think of very many teams after 2024 that might need a new signal caller.

Long term guaranteed $$$
By comparison, as the 4th pick in the draft, Anthony Richardson got a 4-year $34m Contract that is fully guaranteed. Leaving early also gets Shedeur closer to his 2nd NFL Contract where the bid $$ is if he is successful. One ACL tear in Colorado could doom his NFL draft status, thus reducing his rookie Contract $$ significantly.

That makes a lot of sense as well. His Dad needs to keep recruiting some big sloppy's up front to protect him. He's taken a beating this year at times.

Penix Jr. is by far the best QB coming out from this draft class.
