Panic? No. Just concern. The play we witnessed on Sunday may not be who we are, but if it continues, we can become that team.

I don't blame you, since you are buying tickets. But I believe fairly strongly that we have good coaches and good players, and they will turn things around.

IF walker does not develop, then Baalke should be canned. That was totally his pick, against all the fans and media. .

Baalke probably won't be canned. Even if the team wins 5 games this year. I think Khan spares him. Because that's what Khan does.

I don't think its so much panic as it is just tired of sucking for so long. We kinda got a taste last year of what winning is like, got our hopes up. Just to for us to be crushed, looking like the teams of old. I don't have much faith in Baalke, but I do have faith in Doug Pederson or at least up until recently. I'm starting to scratch my head with this whole play calling debacle. Crossing my fingers everything gets squared away and we are back on track within a week or 2.

Walker was seen as not even touching his potential yet. He has explosiveness that you can't teach. The problem is you actually need to learn how to play the position if your measurables are now matched by the OL.
Walker is just another Taven. Taven had less but he was an idiot. He couldn't learn to do anything but run forward. Walker needs to be learning moves and how to control his body. It's just not that easy though, look at Allen and how he hasn't really taken the jump to great.

Walker was seen to be at his ceiling by who? You and the Jags organization? 31 of 32 team would have takenr Hutch over Walker and he wouldn't of went top 2 if it that was the case and been at the top of most boards. You could absolutely see the athleticism there and if not you were blind. Not to mention it showed at the combine to confirm it. He had a better vert, 3 cone, and shuttle than Walker. Hutch explosiveness is just as good as Travons imo when you see each fire off the snap
I'm not saying I agree with it but that was their thought. Walker would be better than everyone in a year or 2. I didn't like either of them but I thought it was crazy to pick Walker.

If Meyer hadn't been a walking disaster of a PR nightmare, he'd retire to 'spend more time with his family' and 'focus on his health.'. A mysterious heart condition that develops mid-season last year.

It's obvious that Baalke had a sour taste in his mouth from his time working with Harbaugh at the Niners that he didn't want to take the presumptive #1 pick that played for him under Michigan. Regardless of what Walker becomes, the pick was irresponsible. He lacked the college production, total starts/playing time, and was the 1st #1 overall pick to not be named "All American" iirc. I get that his athletic traits are off the charts but you don't take a project or the "raw talent" with the FIRST OVERALL PICK! I get they wanted to trade down but there was no QB anyone wanted to trade up for (bad luck I guess, just like having the 2nd pick in 2013 which was another awful draft).
Now I think Walker can become a very good player, and assuming him and Hutch have equal production he's more likely to sign a second contract as we're close to his hometown and he's known Trevor since high school.

There's absolutely no basis for that assumption. Hutchinson has outplayed him from Day 1 and there's no reason to think Walker is ever going to catch up.

I remember after 2017 and the whole Miles Jack Wasn't Down, the entire media loved us.
They thought we were going to be SB contenders. It was week 2 and we had the Patriots at DUUUUVALL!!!! And we smoked them. We absolutely kicked tom brady and Belicheat up and down the the field. It was glorious. It felt like we had turned the corner... Doug Marrone was our HC and he seemed to have fixed everything. And guess what, it was pretty much down hill from there. Marrone turned out to be a wet blanket of ineffectivness. We had a trash OC called... Guess what? Nathaniel Hackett! Hackett only could be successful by having a hall of fame QB that he let run the show and a great organization that knows how to draft Linemen and hire head coaches - And he still couldn't get to the SB!!!!
This year was supposed to be different. This year was supposed to be us having a real HC that knows football and puts winning ahead of everything else. And yet we now have a Nathaniel Hacket OC that our "savior" Head Coach is trying to build up. We have a Defensive Coordinator that has several 1st round draft picks that are under-performing.
And we're supposed to be optimistic about all this?
Naw. We've seen this movie before. When I heard the crowd booing at the end of the first half against Houston, I nodded in agreement. This team is suspect. Does anyone really think we're gonna beat Atlanta on Sunday? I don't.
We're just not good enough. I thought we were. But I guess that was my fault for believing 1010XL and all the paid personalities and shills and suckers that fall for nonsense. We're 1-2. If we can't even beat Atlanta... What are we?

Remember when their were rumors of us trading for Danielle Hunter, man I wish we would have. He's #2 in sacks rn with 5.
Josh Allen is at #10, but those 3 sacks I believe all came week 1.

Walker is on pace to be one of the biggest draft flubs in years. He's good against the run. Whoopedy [BLEEP] do. That's not what you drafted him to be. If it's true that I heard Khan wanted Hutchinson.
He gave the choice to Baalke because he's the football guy. The expert. Unless Walker starts burying the QB the way Allen has this year? I don't see him being any more than a Tyson Alualu type. Big time waste of a number one overall pick.
You could have had Hutchinson or Gardner. Or tried to trade out for better picks. Can't stand Baalke for that decision. He's failed in building the trenches up on both sides.

I'm chillin
I still see a clear path to winning our division - from there it's all about AFC teams' collective attrition/health, and who's getting hot at the right time
Anything can happen in that regard
