Sainsbury’s checkout glitch lets man buy 540 cans of beer for nearly half price

The crate was supposed to cost £11 with a Nectar card, but when Stuart Hardy scanned it through on the self-checkout, he claims the beers only cost £6 each

You never know............I could be referring to my field of view when executing a certain maneuver with my wife.
Not sure if they still have it but ~ 4 years ago, the sale price did not ring up on a 12-pack of beer at Publix so they gave it to me for free. I joked that I was going to get another 12-pack before they could update their system but they stated it's only valid 1x on each product per person; meaning, even if I would have bought a few 12-packs at once, they still would have only given me 1 for free.

On a different note, I cannot imagine how many items are stolen via Self Check-out

Break even point is the annual cost of a cashier vs the $ amount pilfered. Per self checkout station.
