Yes, the OLine is shite at blocking.

ETN too often runs to a hole and doesn't care about waiting for a play/hole to develop.   It's poor running.

The top RBs in the league have good hole vision.  ETN does not.

The O-Line rush blocking is fine.  

It's hard to find yards when you have all your WRs are close to the O-Line, thus allowing the entire front of the defense to be within the box and then run it up the middle the vast majority of the time.

ETN's run plays are designed for him to go straight up the middle between center and guard or between guard and tackle..  That's what they are calling him to do.  And, when you have the entire WR and TE corps all lined up right next to the Line, there's really no where else to go but straight...  You can't bounce it to the outside without risking losing yards.

It's the play design that's killing the yardage.  It's not the O-Line and it's absolutely not ETN.  It's the play calling.  We're basically running ETN into the ground.  Poor guy isn't going to make it into a 2nd contract cuz all we do is throw him into the meat grinder on every one of his rushes.

Really? We're now resorting to [BLEEP] on probably one of the least concerning players we have on offense now?

Nothing surprises me at this point, but yeah, folks don't always know what they are looking at and think they need to blame every miscue on someone.

I mean - there are definitely a couple plays each week where he might be better bouncing it outside and abandoning the play design, but he's clearly trying to hit the creases that the line is supposed to create. Can't really fault him this early in the year for not giving up on his line just yet.

I'd like to see more runs outside - stretches and ZBS stuff so the gaps are fluid for him to seek out.

ETN takes way too much damage because of his running style. He hits the hole regardless of whether or not there is someone already in the hole. He's not patient in his running style. It doesn't mean I don't love what he gives the team.

He does take punishment and he could be getting more creative - but I really think he's just trying to stick to the primary play design and hoping this line finally starts creating the gaps they are supposed to be creating for him.

Like he's trying not to give up too soon on his teammates before freelancing to create something out of nothing. 
This could very well be something his coaches are in his ear about - making him stay on script in a way.

I think if the line doesn't start giving him more daylight to aim at, and/or the coaches don't start dialing up some different run blocking, he may very well begin looking for daylight outside of the called play design. 

Just my opinion on what we are seeing so far.

Maybe don't run ETN up the middle 66% of the time? Maybe don't run bubble screens when the defense is 9 in the box. Maybe stretch out the recievers like we did last year?

I don't know? Maybe do things that have the defense guessing?

Or we could just love banging our heads against the wall, like we've done for the last 4 weeks. Press Taylor seems to love banging his head against the wall constantly. So I guess we all have to support that? SHEEEEESH

I never said the o-line was good.  I never said that the execution wasn't a problem.  I never said that Trevor Lawrence was the problem.  For the last 2 weeks I've tried to show you why I think, while the players are also not doing good, that the coaching is a problem.  And yet, all you do is focus on posts that are not 100% lockstep with you.
