First 4 games in 2022 - 13 receptions 99 yds
First 4 games in 2023 - 25 receptions 232 yds

He also leads all NFL TE’s in that YAK. I’m stat’d out for today and I don’t feel like looking it up but I think he leads all NFL TEs in receptions and yards right now.

He’s also the only TE in NFL with atleast 5 receptions in every game this year.

While I’m at it, Kirk now leads the team in receiving yards. When is my boy Etienne gonna get a buck. He’s never went more than 6 games.

Big time win. Big time playmakers. Engram out here doing his thing and breathing life into a position that has been forgotten for too many years since the days of Pete Mitchell and Kyle Brady. I had to endure Marcedes Lewis for all those years out there looking like a Giraffe running backwards. Engram is legit and runs hard with the football after the catch. Seems to always give maximum effort and he plays the game like you’re supposed to.

I see you double EE

My favorite player by far, close to Kirk.

When we use him as Chiefs do Kelce we are a good offense. Now we need other guys to pick it up and make better decisions with the football in general.
He's been good this year. Glad we have him for three more years.

It was really nice to see the OC finally go back to the crosser routes for Engram like we did last year. This Offensive play calling is very inconsistent But the fact that we were getting Kirk and Engram more targets was really good to see. I want to see more of that!!!
EE needs 25 yards to move into 4th all time in Jaguars history for a TE.

1. Lewis - 4502
2. Brady - 2500
3. Mitchell - 2091
4. O’Shaghnessy - 1022
5. Engram - 998

It took Engram 21 games to climb the Team TE all time list, which is exactly the number of games Julius Thomas played in Jacksonville. Thomas left with just 736 yards on 76 catches. Engram already has 98 catches in 21 games.

*Engram needs 2 receptions to have 100 as a member of the Jaguars. Quickest to 100 by a TE in team history.

I like some of the go routes and back shoulder fade routes they run with him on the sideline. He's made some nice plays here and there doing that this year. I would do it against this beat up Bills secondary on Sunday.

I wouldn’t mind another 162 yard game by Engram. I hope he goes ham next week.

Don't mention ham. That's part of hamstring.

I posted a highlight video of the Giants game from last year...  We were so dynamic back then.  Receivers were spread wide on one play, then bunched in another.  Lawrence was under center more than he is now.  The opposing Defense was guessing on every play.  We were dynamic.  It was hard to figure out what the play was and where the route was the read.

I mean, everything looked different last year compared to this year.  It's not an illusion.  I reminisce about 2022.  It was the best offense I've seen since I was a kid and a fan of Dan Marino.  But this offense?  This isn't the same one we watched last year.

Even if some Moderators try to convince you that this is the same offense.  It's not.  This isn't what we watched and cheered for last year.  This is something different.

Yes, Engram should be targeted the most, Kirk second, and Ridley third for the next few games. Ridley seems like a poor man's #1. He can be mostly neutralized by top corners like Terrell and even KC's Sneed. I'm cutting him some slack, though, since he's new to the offense and returning to NFL action after a long break.
Pete Mitchell to this day is my favorite TE. Kyle Brady is second.

Man, those were the days.

Sam LaPorta leads TEs in yards
Great to know.

double EE would be 4E Wink
Craziest part about Engrams starts is, he is doing this VERY quietly right now. Dudes just working and producing.

We may have had the worst receiving TEs of any other team in the history of the NFL.

Not a stretch at all. It was baaaaadd.

After the Coughlin era (Brady/Mitchell) - there was basically nothing until Marcedes had 2 good season sprinkled in and then another long drought until Engram.

That's a lot of years of nada.
Marcedes Lewis was my dog back in the day. I loved watching him get catches in the EZ. I used to call him Ferrari Lewis... LOL

Engram is great, and by far the better TE, and I'm a huge fan of his. But there will always be a spot in Carp's HOF for the Ferrari... I wish Marcedes would retire a Jag so we could all honor him. He was always one of only 2 (MJD) bright spots in so many dark seasons.
