We have a history of losing the bye week. Hopefully we can keep our streak going through the bye week and not lose it.   Do we make a trade?  We will know tomorrow

We could get hot at the right time if the stars continue to align over Duval.

Agreed, if we can win all our home games we will be in very good shape and the SB might go through us

Hahaha

I don't remember Steelers fans being so whiny. Have they been interbreeding with Bills fans?

Possibly, but the Bills fans I have sat near in our stadium would not remember it the next day.

I was thinking this the other day with regards strength of schedule. Obviously Colts were 0-0 week 1, Chiefs were 0-1, Houston 1-2, Atlanta 2-1, Buffalo 3-1, Colts 3-2, Saints  3-3, Steelers 4-2. We've been beating teams playing well, not just beating bad teams week after week. Compare that to someone like the Chiefs. Lions 0-0, us 1-0, Bears 0-2, Jets 1-2, Vikings 1-3, Broncos 1-4, Chargers 2-3, Broncos 2-5. Hardly beaten great teams have they?

The thing I'm most excited about, we are 6-2 and to be honest, we haven't seen us play a perfect game. We've had those good and bad moments but I still think we have a level or 2 more in us. If we can start getting all parts of this team clicking we could really see us shock some people. I just don't think we've seen this team hit top gear yet and that's very encouraging.
I think we comfortably beat the Niners. Really. Theyve shown they are mortal. Our toughest upcoming game IMO will be the Ravens.

Have you seen the Bengals lately?  They're playing at a very high level right now as well.
Bengals and Ravens are playing miles better than they did early in the season. Stout test at Buffalo but they have a way of owning them. Purdy finally looks like a lowly drafted QB, if we can make it an ugly game I think we pull it out. I think we can keep it ugly coming off the bye week and getting some crucial players back. Of course if the offense really wants to wake up that would be preferred, but the 49ers defense doesn't give up a lot of plays although the Bengals exposed them. We have lock up the division as soon as possible, that should be the main priority. Then we look at trying to see if there's a scenario where we can get the bye week going into the postseason. KC has been slumpy this year and playing the Dolphins overseas this week is a tough out. Those Bengals/Ravens games will be huge.
Before we all get too full of ourselves, remember this week last year;

Tennessee was leading the division (the number 2 seed in the AFC) at 5-2 they went on to lose7 games straight finishing 7-10 and miss the playoffs.
Indianapolis was 3-4-1 in 2nd place in the division and went on to finish 4-12
Jaguars were 2-6 in 3rd place in the division going on a run and winning the division at 9-8
Houston was 1-5-1 the 4th place in the division and went on to draft #1

Tennessee's downfall was primarily injuries to their OL.
One game at a time and fingers crossed the injury bug stays away...
All 4 AFC Division leaders are 6-2. Root for them to lose. But KC and Miami play each other so hope for a tie?

That’s right. This is the NFL and records don’t matter with all that strength of schedule stuff. Just win baby.
I can see Ravens losing this week
Completely missed this thread when I started mine this AM lol if someone can merge my post into here that would be great

If Deebo is back they are a different team. Any word yet on his recovery?

I wonder if Purdy is losing confidence or if the team is losing confidence in him.

Regardless, they are not to be taken lightly.

Root for them to beat the snot out of each other.
Will Levis playing for Ryan Tannehill this week. Actually a break for us. We will be able to get some tape. Better than no tape, as it seems when that happens we suddenly forget how to play defense.

Will Levis is the least of my concerns this season

Shipley thinks maybe this injury lasts longer than many expected.

I'm surprised they didn't put him on short term IR a while ago at this rate

Would like to see Cooks get some more opportunities if this is the case. Haven't seen much out of Agnew in the receiving game. He did the best he could with Lattimore in New Orleans but he just doesn't look like he'll be anymore than a gadget guy.

It's still dumbfounding that they kept this kid as an undrafted rookie, after selecting thirteen players in the draft, and yet, they're not trying to work him in yet in any 50/50 opportunities on the outside or inside the redzone at the minimum.

He has the size and speed to win some contested catches.
