See Sam Bradford.

That was Min. and that was Bradford.  They got really desperate after Teddy went down.   Sam had a really solid year last year but I dont see Ari. giving up their first round pick for Bortles

I don't see the Jags giving up Bortles for the thirteenth, To each his own.

It wouldn't surprise me if it is true to an extent. This tweet is from May 11th 2014. Right after the draft.

<p style="font-size:27px;">Bruce Arians said there was only one franchise QB in this draft... He went 3rd to the #Jaguars...

Based on David Carr, I gonna go with, he was wrong.
The Vikings were looking for someone to steer the ship of what they thought was a Super Bowl caliber team.  And they probably did have at least a playoff team with a healthy AD as Sam didn't play that bad last year.  However, their situation with Teddy going down doesn't equate to ours and doesn't determine Bortles value right now.  Anyone who thinks Bortles has 1st round value to anyone right now is kidding themselves.  We'd probably be looking at a 3rd or 4th and that's just not worth it.  The problem with these so called Bortles hypothetical trades are that his potential as a player is more valuable to us right now than what he'd actually fetch in a trade based on his performance to date.

I don't think we're picking up the 5th year option on Bortles which tells me we're probably taking a QB in the first 4 rounds.  If we don't pick up the option and Bortles flames out, they'll want a guy to have already been in the system this year for next season even if we end up taking another QB next year.  One thing is for certain, Henne will not be the opening day starter in 2018.

This is Bogus...
