I am going to watch the Jags with CJ just as much as I watched with Trevor. As long as Urban Meyer is nowhere near the building, the Jags are still the Jags to me.

Same. I expect a lot of Beathard to Tim Jones or maybe Elijah Cooks for a few weeks if they are seeing any lingering issues with Kirk's groin injury.

I think he can do enough to win at least 2 games while Trevor is out. Hoping Trevor is back by week 16, week 17. But, if they lose to the #1 defense and #2 defense in back-to-back weeks? It's beyond forgivable and understandable.

Anything is possible though.
Depression aside, CJ Beatherd actually played well. The holding call negating the long pass to Ridley was horrible, Bethard was 9-10 for 60 yards or so.

Yeah. I think he's serviceable. Against the top defense this Sunday and the 2nd best defense the following Sunday? Not sure. We'll see. He'll at least be brought up to speed REAL QUICK these next two games though. There's no easing into this. Poor guy is right in the thrall of it all.

Cleveland is fighting for a play-off spot. Could directly impact us down the road just like last night's loss with the Bengals. Baltimore is fighting Miami at this point for the top seed as well. Nothing easy about the rest of this month man.

Just buckle up and enjoy the ride or crash that's right around the corner.

Refs hosed us a couple times but we had plenty of opportunities to close this game out and the defense was absolute trash. Shouldn't have even been in that spot against a back up QB. Not going to blame the refs here, we flat out stunk defensively last night. Trevor was dealing before he went down. I had no doubt he was going to take the lead back right there.

During the most important games, one or two of the main parts of the team usually decides to take the game off, take a nap, order drinks, etc. Last night it was the defense. They made a journey man quarterback look like Joe Montana. We got ran on like there were open lanes where someone on a wheelchair could have gotten twenty yards on a carry. It's absolutely ridiculous that this always happens in the biggest of the big games. This should have been an easy win. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Ridley can make the best of catches and then he drops the easiest of ones, just like the one right before halftime that really lost the game for us and our new tackle who had a holding call on the long throw in OT. That was either an awful call or a bad time to hold someone.

Let's how that TLaw won't be out very long, at least in enough time to get in as a wild card, because winning the division is done now. We won't beat Baltimore with our prize winning defense playing like a bunch of wannabees. We won't even beat Cleveland and their backup QB, who will probably carve us up like a Thanksgiving turkey.

The division is NOT lost.  We have a one game lead plus the tiebreaker.  That means, with 5 games to play, the Titans and the Colts have to win 2 more games than we do, or else we win the division.
I preach it every week. It’s the NFL. A backup QB can beat the brakes off you and records don’t matter inside those hash marks. There are no gimmes, even if we’re playing against a rookie QB, or a backup QB, or a bad offensive line, etc.

Ridley has to catch the stinkin football. McManus was signed to make those big time kicks.

Walker keeps getting half sacks.

Washington is going to be a good player. Engram continues to be a franchise TE. Allen is having the best defensive season in franchise history. Etienne is going to be one of just a handful of guys that have scored 10 or more TDs in a season. Smoot seems to be back.

The salary cap is gonna hurt us next season.

I agree. He’s a lot better than the worst QB to ever lace on cleats as most Jag fans appear to think. He’s serviceable and can manage a game but he will have to face teams that are game planning against him and will have to get support from the running game which is not overly consistent. But losses aren’t preordained just because we have a backup QB playing. [BLEEP], we just got carved up by one.
Just think back to Quinn Gray who went 2-1 while Garrard was out. We can hope

Maybe if we stopped wasting picks on RBs, 3rd string TEs and backup off ball linebackers.... This roster would be better equipped to rush the passer, protect Trevor and cover.

Does he drive a tractor and can he still play? Actually if it was burrow no one would be this depressed. Bengals are a very complete team and we are not. Both teams without their best QB, yeah they were better. Until Trevor went out we had the edge.
The legendary Jim Mora, who is probably employed by our team in some fashion, on last night's loss:

Because injury is as much a part of the game as a timely fumble recovery, a field goal that bounces off the crossbar to seal a win, or a day where you put 375 yards on the ground against an eventual Superb Owl champion.

It happens to most every team, most every year.

If you didn't see this as a distinct possibility at the onset of the season, you were in denial as to the state of our OL.

Now we must do as most every other team does - deal with the hand we are dealt, and find ways to make things work. We are capable, and I don't see give-up in this team. They are going to keep fighting, we should keep hoping it all works out.

The goal today is the same as it was in August - by any means necessary, get into the postseason. Whether that's by taking the division or by eking out enough wins to claim a wild card berth, Trevor is still Trevor and if we can get there, he'll be playing, and we've already seen that anything can happen when playoffs are involved.

It will be ok.

#1 Missed kick. Unbelievable.
#2 Bad holding call on Ridley bomb in overtime.

#0 defense basically standing back to watch Browning pick them apart.

No, in 2 weeks, CJB throws for like 425 yards, reports are in that TLaw's ankle is nearly recovered and everyone here will clamor that we stick with the hot hand.

I expect no less.
That Ridley reverse at 7 minutes????

Why??

Just such a trash play call...

That Ridley reverse messed up the entire drive, and then 2 plays later Trevor Lawrence got injured.

Press Taylor should go back to Cincy and help his brother out.  This offense doesn't need this type of trash.

Press Taylor is from Oklahoma, not Cincinnati. Never lived there, never coached there, how would he go "back?"

But more importantly - this is the 4th thread you've posted in (over the past hour) to further your current campaign against Press Taylor.

Please stop littering multiple threads with a repetitive off-topic agenda. Just start your own little "Press Taylor Suxs" thread and put it all there, please.

Thanks.
