He's not bad at all, but these days you can find guys that are capable of playing all 3 downs. Him coming off the field on 3rd and long hurts his value. He'll get picked up by a team who has a hard time stuffing the run on 1st and 2nd downs.

Even some of the best DL don't play all three downs on every series.

When he went to Washington it was the same year JDR took the Oakland job so he was referring to Oakland not Denver.  Although Denver didn't make much of an effort to re-sign him either according to an article I read.

When the Jaguars decided not to re-sign him he chose Denver because JDR was there. When Denver chose not to re-sign him, his preference was Oakland - again because of JDR.
