I know a lot has gone on with the jags this past week, so this has been somewhat lost in the shuffle. However, Parker Washington really had a hell of a game playing relief for Kirk. That endzone catch was insane. Obviously it’s just one game, but a very promising start none the less. Do you guys think he can keep it rolling against the Browns?
He made a good showing for himself. Just DON'T DROP PUNTS.
He can. He runs pretty good routes, has good hands (questionable on fielding punts though) and may have a knack for getting open. He has the benefit of slipping underneath the radar with Calvin Ridley and Zay Jones in front of him at the moment on the depth chart.
Fun fact. He's a cousin of Josh Dobbs, current QB for the Vikings.
Yeah I think he could regress a little against the browns, but he showed enough for me to be excited to see more. And put some glue on the hands for the punts!
I think he'll probably get at least 6 - 10 targets. They probably want to be a little careful with him because without Kirk and Washington, I am not sure who fields punts at that point with Agnew also out. This is why I keep bringing up Cooks. Playing with fire now with the issues we've had at the WR position.
Agnew out, Kirk out, Zay with his lingering knee issue that could flare up again if we're not lucky, etc. At some point, and, I know the crowd will say "Coaches know best, trust the process". Yeah, I get that. BUT, it's a numbers game and personnel game.
Do you risk Washington playing the slot role and move role in this offense exclusively or do you try and make it work more with guys like Cooks and Tim Jones so you don't ultimately [BLEEP] up and compromise your return man situation?

I liked how he fought for the ball especially on the touchdown.
That's the thing about having one of the better starting receiver groups in the league. You don't get to see the guys behind them frequently enough as fans to necessarily know what you have in depth at the position. Based on last game, it looks like we might have a quality future starter if we decide not to retain Ridley or if a starter goes down like Kirk just did. Hopefully he can keep it up.

If I am not mistaken Cisco, in the offseason, also said he wanted to do it, even practiced. I they think a Player can contribut on offense they will not sit him out just because o PR duties. I also want to see Cooks play, but is that we are so stacked at WR and he is the last in line

The Cisco thing was more of an "emergency returner" availability scenario. He wasn't really trying to vy for a returner role. More of a break glass in case of emergency thing
