Good for him. That's pretty cool. Maybe in another year or two he'll be back in the NFL after he wins a few CFL Championship's.

You have to admit, the guy made a seriously good highlight film while he was here.

A lot of guys do well in the CFL with the wider field, especially the ones noted for their scrambling ability.

The deeper endzones make a huge difference too. In the NFL the field gets compressed inside the 20. In the CFL you can still call deep routes from the 20 because the endzones are 20 yards deep. Your run and shoot type offense works over the entire field.

I’m biased and wish him well. His highlight play from last preseason was epic. He never took his eyes off of downfield through all the adversity and distractions of the rush and potential tackles. You cannot teach that. Although probably more gifted than Beathard his lack of experience and Beathard’s personal relationship with Trevor held him back here. After being picked up off of the practice squad by New England the regime change there did him in. Not sure what happened in Atlanta but I believe he could be a more serviceable backup than a lot of current backups, but again I am biased. I wish you well Maple Missle!

Same (biased) and I understood that the business side of things was not going to play in his favor, especially here. Guy was bouncing from team to team and couldn't get past the PS. ATL was work, but it was a horrible fit for securing a roster spot, as they just overspent on Coupins and then doubled down with a first rounder on Penix.
Kinda glad he took the more stable job where he can hopefully flourish....and set the bar just a bit higher for his little bro

Not a great 1st start back for the kid
8 for 25 and 2 interceptions. For 126 yards.
Yikes

Congrats on being the highest paid player in the CFL. He gets plenty of reps and in 2 years can decide if he wants to try the NFL again.
