I don't know why, but part of me is starting to think we may go Corner at 4. If Lattimore really is the talent that he's being hyped up to be, then we would have 3 top tier corners under contract for the foreseeable future. We would either let Colvin walk or try to trade him at some point. The bigger part of me still thinks we go Fournette at four, but I'm definitely starting to see CB as a bigger possibility.
Not gonna happen.

That would be dumb, we can get Adore Jackson or a T.White from LSU in the 2nd, two guys who might be as good and are better Nickle inside CBs then Lattimore, we have way other issues then to waste the number 4 pick on a CB.

I dont even think Lattimore is even in the same league as a lot of other top CBs, like Ramsey or Patrick Peterson so he is not cant miss.

I'm not sure either one of those guys will fall to the 2nd, they're both invited to the draft. Not saying that's automatic but it shows they're both viewed as 1st round prospects at the least.
White in round two would be awesome value. The new six-round nfl.com mock has Conley in round two. It's unreal the how good a CB we might be able to get in round two, but the Jaguars OL need just seems to trump that thought.

As for Adoree Jackson, I do see some mock that have in going like #32 to the Saints, but I don't see it. He's barely a CB having just moved to the position, and even as a nickel he's nowhere near the caliber of player that Marshon Lattimore is. That said, there are plenty of CBs who are better than Adoree and should be there even in round three. or later. The Jaguars might be able to find a good developmental CB in rounds five or six. For that matter, how far is Sidney Jones falling... no need to even develop him... you just gotta wait a year. ...but I'm only biting for a guy like Jones, or TE Jake Butt for that matter, if they drop way far like round five.

It's a pretty deep class at CB, no need to take one at 4 when we have Ramsey (5th overall) and Bouye (huge contract) already.

Need OL in round 2. Can get a quality depth/rotational guy in rounds 3-4.

Nope.

Not today, not tomorrow and Draft Day isn't looking good either.

Agreed.

I could see them taking a corner in the middle rounds as they have almost no depth beyond Ramsey/Bouye.

We're going heavy offense.

You would think. But the team has a lot more needs than draft picks.
If we draft a CB at 4 we are practically throwing money away.

We are in the nickel more than any other formation. So I could see it. I'd prefer d-line, but corner would be fine.
but PFF...

Forget the Bouye signing.

Leonard Fournette went 40.......40 lol
Jackson at the top of round two wouldn't be terrible.
It's tough to get a read on what the Jaguars are thinking at CB as they've only visited with three... Lattimore, Conley and Elder.

Lattimore of course would be an option at #4 although there's little else to suggest they'd go this route. Conley probably goes early-to-mid first although I have seen one mock where he falls to #35. I could totally see Caldwell drafting Conley at #35 should he actually fall there.

Elder probably comes into play as an option in round four. I've seen him go as early as mid-to-late round three, but I can't see the Jaguars spending their #68 pick on him. However, at #110 the small nickel CB with some
punt return ability carries excellent value. In a typical draft he's probably a second round pick. In this draft there's a slight chance he might even slip into round five, but I wouldn't count at that. I'm just hoping he makes it to round four.

Here's some Elder highlights... https://youtu.be/CxKbIjxe098

From these clips I'm reminded of Fernando Bryant.

I've noticed him in recent mocks going like #32, but I feel that's way too early for him. I'm not touching Adoree at #35, but I do like him a lot for the Jaguars should he fall another round. I mentioned the possibility of Adoree Jackson at the top of round three on here before and got a round of noes, but I'd love the pick. I can see him actually falling to our #68 pick as some really good CBs just keep pushing him down, and if he does that's going to be a tough call between him and Nate Peterman if both are there.
