That's a good fit, Willis is similar in style to Jordan Love and there's no pressure for him to do much more than sit and learn.
Awesome, Blackrock will now own part of every team in addition to the residential properties they have gobbled up.

WTH? I would ask 'why' but obviously it's $$$.

Why would you invite that in to your ownership circle?  It seems like with the influence they yield, they could put more pressure on majority ownership than some fellow multi-millionaire/billionaire but what do I know.

I'd assume the current day argument would be that a 10% stake isn't capable of influencing high level decision making, but you and I both know that 10 is just the starting point.

Bad news for NFL. These entities have endless money and it would be hard for an owner to turn down an offer that may quadruple the value of their team.

On the surface, 10% ownership is essentially a silent partner.  Blackrock ain't no silent partner I promise you that, 10% or not. I doubt anyone but the Packers sells a stake to them.

10% gives you the right to sue. I can see it now lawsuits over coaching hires, contracts, trades, drat picks.  I would think the owners should be careful what they wish for...

I believe they can only own 10% of one team. Owning more then one would then be a conflict of interest.  Another more tin foil hat way to look at it is this is being done to cut the big guys in on the profits.  Call it tribute.  This for protection from unwanted legislation and legal actions by FTC. They got basketball some time ago.
You guys don't seem to understand that all those owners are owned by private equity already. This just publicizes a small part of the relationship to make it look on the up and up.

Money grab lawsuit against Brandon McManus dismissed by Circuit Court. Tony Buzbee claims his meal ticket won't get off so easily, plaintiffs agree based on personal experience.

Shared this news in the Jaguars roster churn thread. My bad. It's interesting though. Too bad he couldn't catch on.
And I thought some of the players never learned.

Yep, never poke the Lion with the Truth unless there are steel bars between you.
Mother nature out here really trying to say nope, the start of the season must be delayed a little bit longer...

Maurice is pretty good still over there on NFL Network. Good analyst.

Enteen also questioned the intelligence of football players, calling them "dumb as hell" and saying he believes those who "get their heads knocked around a few times" are more susceptible to conspiracy theories.

Dude is nuts. Lol.
