Increase in Tide Pod sales as the TikTok millennials worry about food shortage..
Honestly these should be banned everywhere. Pets have died horrific deaths from playing with them (because people are careless and don't pick them up) and accidentally ingesting the contents.
Small kids have also suffered from poisoning and death for the same reason. Careless parents.
Stop being so freaking lazy and pour the liquid in the compartment. Less death and poisonings.

I agree.. We switched back to liquid for both the washing machine & dish washer..
Used to use pods for both.

Thankful we switched because we got tired of buying Cascade Pods for damn near $25 a bucket.

For those who didn't read the article, the concern isn't that pets or children or the elderly will try to eat them. They think that problem is under control now because they made the outsides bitter. The concern is that the polymer holding them together goes into the wastewater and out into the lakes, streams, and oceans. Some scientists say the polymer dissolves and biodegrades and doesn't disrupt life and other scientists say it doesn't. When the science is uncertain and the amount of potential pollution is very small, I'd tend to say keep an eye on it and don't ban it yet.
