I think the upside is our guys are hungry after the losses last year. If wd can win some early, we will be in shape to do something special.
Honestly surprised we got 2 prime time games, glad no Thursday night can’t stand Al Michaels anymore after our playoff game. I used to love his commentary so much.
Most winnable game of first four weeks is Cleveland followed by buffalo. Cleveland will have Watson starting, and we always play buffalo tough
Why y’all so afraid of Miami? I think we kick their butts
Interesting 2nd place schedule. (I hope the Texans enjoy the first place schedule this year) Pretty fair schedule. What I saw...
Week 3 - We play Buffalo on Monday night the 23rd ! They will have 11 days to prepare for us and remember London last year. They play a Thursday night game on the 12th against Miami.
Week 4 - We come home and play the Texanies on a short week after playing on Monday night in Buffalo.
Week 9 - We come back from London and Play AT Philly while we adjust to the time.
Week 12 -Bye week. The latest I can remember us having a bye week
Week 13 - We travel to play the Texanies at their place after our bye week. Some kind of payback for week 4?
Week 16 - We play the Raiders in Vegas and say hello to Minshew. They are on a short week after playing at Atlanta the previous Monday night.
We play no teams coming off their bye week.
Very tough schedule overall. Injuries will naturally determine if this turns out as difficult as at first glance. I'd say 10 wins would be the best outcome leading to a wild card playoff game.
Wish we had a primetime game at home even though we went 0-2 last year in those match ups.
Schedule looks great! Dolphins need to be worried, and I’m not talking about the 2024 Dolphins…
The champagne is on ice…
Realistically, the start looks fine, I also think this year will be a wake up call for Stroud/Texans. 4/6 games at the end are division games with a west coast game thrown in (just put that down as a L) is what is going to make the season. Don’t care how lopsided it may look on paper, all division games are tough.
Health is always most important for a season, I think our defensive line can literally win us double digit games alone. Can’t expect much from Maason Smith as a rookie, but if he hits the ground running the defensive front can be such a force. We also have some cap room to play with , would be cool to team up Armstead with another big time DT. Depth on the D line is scary thin though, so again health is key.

If they make the playoffs they'll definitely have earned it.
Unless they win the first two handedly and the Bills and Texans struggle out the gate of course.
We've kinda owned the bills the past few years. Not worried so much about them. They were supposed to beat us handily in 2021 and we won a defensive thriller here 9-6. Then we beat them in London last year and the score was closer than the game felt IMO. It also feels like they had a net loss in talent this offseason whereas we added free agents including two of their players in Gabe Davis and Morse. Their list of acquisitions are a bunch of perennial nobodies aside from Curtis Samuel being decent.

It's tough to judge right now. Teams that look tough may not be and easy games are suddenly difficult. I think we can go 7-4 in that first half of the year, maybe 6-5 but can see us going 5-1 after the bye. Its not a bad run after the bye.

Those losses where gut wrenching I’m ok with away games for prime time this year

It all comes down to two things for me:
*how much the new C and LG improve the run game and protection/pocket time
*how much the new look defense improves and how long it takes them to find their stride in the back 7 (coverage)
If these two areas show marginal but marked improvement by week 4 or 5 - there is probably 10 gettable wins out there for this team.
If they improve more than that and/or more quickly than that - maybe it's 11 wins.
If these two areas can't get up to "middle of the pack" level after ending last year in the basement, then we're screwed.

I’m glad we don’t go to any ‘cold’ outdoor cities late in the season.
@Philly gonna be a tough game. Noticed that off rip.
