If Hamilton is REALLY back to what he looked like in late 2022 - this defensive front might be pretty darn good.

Walker - D-Ham - Armstead - J.Allen

That's a pretty nice go-to line up IMO.

This will also give Maason Smith the opportunity to learn and gradually increase his snaps as the season progresses.

I just don't see Armistead in there taking the pounding on 1st down every series. I think it's Smith and Jefferson in there, with Armistead in for more of the money downs.

If they all stay healthy, that's a top 3 Dline right there.

Maybe it was the camera angle and movement, but it felt like BTJ tracked that ball really well in that clip.  Looked like the timing between the 2 was off by a half sec but BTJ made up for it.  Maybe I'm reading too much into it with my teal colored shades on.

Last year around this time and during training camp there were lots of clips of Ridley looking insanely good.
Underwear football always looks promising.

Regular season football is more and more like underwear football.

They might not let the defenders hit as hard, but there will be defenders.
Let's wait for some 7 on 7s at least.
Even though this team seems destined to line up in a 4-2-5 defensive package the VAST majority of snaps -- those who have been eagerly trying to figure out who plays SAM linebacker when 3 LBs are deployed got a glimpse of two players in today's work at Miller Electric Center.

Chad Muma and Yasir Abdullah both got snaps at the position.

Yeah, it's weird how the zebras couldn't see that clear violation of the rules.

Watch the 1985 Bears. Or heck watch Double D play for this team. I always thought Montana was the GOAT but Brady out titled him. You look at what they had to do week in and out and the changes are massive.

The game has changed unfortunately, in some cases, for the better. Nobody wants to see a QB get maimed and sidelined for a year anymore. I wouldn't mind, and I was born in 1988. I only saw a few slobber knocker's in my lifetime. The last great hitters I can remember were guys like Dawkins, Taylor, Reed and Polamalu from the secondary.

Lewis was a mean linebacker. There a few others. Those days are gone though I fear. I get it. When your QB is getting paid a quarter of a billion dollars? They're going to get pampered and special treatment. Do I agree with how the game is played today? No. Should the Zebras do a better job across the board calling out these blatant hits that violates today's rules and game? Absolutely.

Adapt or die. That's what the NFL was faced with. They chose to adapt.

Yep, I might not like the rules but they should be equitably enforced.
